How the Titan Touch Is Really Supposed to Work
Re: How the Titan Touch Is Really Supposed to Work
Now we have to ask, why did the engineers not make a taller button? Comfort or to keep a person from pushing it in so far as to damage the valve or valve body? I would suggest if they chamfered the outer edge all the way around it would considerably reduce the issue. The valve may be reliable on a bench but to accurately test it there would really need some soft leather or foam between to see if it could be operated then.

I had a lot of trouble finding the button on mine until they sent me the model. When I could "see" the concave opposite the button, that was the key for me. I can feel the concave part very easy, and know the release button is on the opposite side. I hit it every time now without a problem. They should give out these pump models to every new implant patient.

I got a model of the pump prior to surgery. I would love to have an actual pump to play with and study. I think I will put my pump in my will and donate it to FT

I wanted my old pump from the AMS to cut apart and see how it is made. Didn't happen.
