So happy to read that last post. You are gonna be fine. The pump will be rock hard when full of fluid and the valve in deflate. Liquids are incompressible. When you get the pop it will all feel fine and you will understand. Pushing the deflate button before trying to squeeze for the pop sometimes helps to free the ball on the valve and make it easier to get the pop to the inflate mode.
Best to you

Yeah , I had a bit of a issue last night. I was kicking in my sleep last night and I tend to sleep on my side which unfortunately puts my nutsack betwiix my thighs. Well whatever is pinching pinched and woke my ass up. So I was trying to situate my stuff and I noticed that my right side was inflated and firm and the left side was flat. So I new that wasn't normal and I hit the release valve and got a quick buzz sensation and I felt the fluid movement. I squeezed the right side of the shaft lightly and down it went. So I got a wild hair and decided well what comes down must come up and pushed on the bulb and got a pop sensation and the bulb just got soft instantly. I pushed on it twice and it started to firm up again so I stopped. I am guessing I was 60% erect so I had a good 5 " which is the biggest I can remember being in the last 3 years! It was like 4:30 am but I had to share the news so I woke my wife up and said feel this! She reminded me of the Dr's orders but she was also grinning! So no pain no bruising and I called my Dr to tel them. My concern is what caused just one side to partially fill or is that how the Dr's do it?
