I was wondering how does it take from the initial consult to actually getting the implant?

In my case it was 50 days.
It could be week or 2 sooner but my wife and I were in Europe on vacation.

There were times when Dr. Eid was scheduling 2 weeks out and times that Eid and Kramer both were 5 weeks out when I called. At the end of the year which is coming up soon, all of them get booked to the point they cannot take any more patients because everyone is trying to get it done after they have met their deductible but before a new deductible rolls over to start again at the first of the year. Advise is book now if you want it done by the end of the year. I got into that situation twice. Cheers.

One thing I will add is it may be dependent on whether you have already tried everything else and nothing is working. My insurance wanted to know I had done everything possible before resorting to an implant.

I tried everything first and allergic to trimix. My doc at consult said lets get er done. Implanted 2 weeks later.

My question is how do you know if the urologist you have chosen to go see is the best one for the implant? I have had the test where they do the shot to make you hard...he diagnosed me with peyronnies which I had already figured out...said I also had a venous leak which I did not know what it was , after reading up on it I understand what that is..I am 65 yrs old and have come to the conclusion that if I don't go after the implant my sex life is over, have great wife who is with me no matter what I decide...my urologist is close to my age and from what I have been able to find out has a good reputation...but this is my only shot at a future sex life and I want it...I called the Better Business bureau and they have no complaints on him and the lady gave me the number to the board of medical malpactice complaints and they had none on him so where else to check? Of course he won't tell me how many of these operations he has done or if there have been any complaints, why would he..my insurance will pay for the surgery so money if not the object....I am one who does not just jump into something especially as serious as this....just want to make sure before I totally trust him...my instinct is to not be very trusting of anyone...so any ideas or suggestions from any of you guys...I bought my vaccum pump and have been doing that as he instructed and am to go back to him in October to discuss going ahead with the surgery...Thanks

2 doctors told me they could give me names of others they implanted. 1 has done the same for others here who have told their experience. There were plenty of experiences here for Dr. Kramer who has many videos; a man not afraid to show his work. Search the doctor here to see if there are any experiences. Milam was suggested here to me for the first implant. If I had used the search box and read the bad experiences some before me had, I would never gone to Nashville. Lastly, if he answers you questions and you feel comfortable with him. Take your wife. They have a good feel for these things too. I am done with doctors that just don't feel right, don't answer questions and have surgery anyway because that is who I was referred. You are the one that has to live with the results.
