Dr. Eid does a stretch test and length test using an injection. So if the stretch test is 5.75" and injection test is 5.5", he uses those measurements to compare the inflated size after placement of implant. Since he uses the "no touch technique" he feels he can change the RTEs to make sure he is in the ball park, so you would likely not be under or over sized.

In my research, if I had the option, Dr. Eid would be my surgeon of choice. Being Canadian, I have to weigh getting it done for free, or paying the full price of surgery.

If a quack surgeon told me I would probably lose length, I would run like hell.
My local incredible surgeon told me I wouldn't and I didn't. Impressive results. He is tops in my book.

Seems like there should be a way to measure volume max on each side instead of taking some sort of linear measurements during surgery. It would be a hell of a lot more accurate. I lost about a inch after 3 years of ED issues not sure where I will End up length wise after a year but so long as it works and I can satisfy my wife I don't care.

Whatever my surgeon did he did right. I lost absolutely nothing. My stretching routine gave me back my total pre opp size and length. Stretching works with an AMS. I am proof positive.

Some of ppl are comforted by having an implant company rep in the OR. Bottom line is the surgeon measures and decides what size device to use.

My AMS rep, also a doctor, assisted my Uro in the operating room. I am sure he had all the possible sizes and RTEs available upon request. I not sure how or when he measured, I thankfully slept through the whole process
He did an awesome job and I couldn't be more pleased with the results.

Seems like a length * diameter = volume would give a more 3 dimensional measurement. The dr does have control of how much fluid is finally in the circuit correct ? Or is a factory sealed type of prosthetic ?
