18+1 What can I expect?

Postby MK1965 » Mon Oct 01, 2018 9:50 am

I would like to hear from guys with same size implants what was their final outcome regarding length?
Implanted with 18+1 and at almost 4 weeks post implant my deflated size is barely 3 inches and when inflated it goes to 3.5 inches.
My stretched penis length at initial consultation was 4.5 inches.
Does it mean I am loosing 1 inch from already very short penis to start with?
I lost 2 inches after RP when I was 6.5 before prostatectomy.
I am wondering what motivated my implant surgeon to go with Titan for such a short penis? Have to ask him personally at 6 weeks visit.
Titan cylinders are so hard and unnatural and uncomfortable that drives me already crazy. My penis is always sticking out at 90 degrees or 3:00 o’clock position regardless inflated or deflated.
My wife doesn’t like unnatural feeling of empty tubes with squicking sound.
Oh God! I am afraid I made another bad choice.
I appreciate any response and some encouragement.

I think you are worrying too soon. Give it more time. Keep pumping, you will get better at it. I don't have the Titan so can't advise you what to expect except to keep working on it. It was nearly six months before I got my maximum size. Either way Good Luck.

I was the same way at your present stage, give it time! You still have some swelling I'm sure. The cylinders WILL soften up.
Sorry the pictures are not the same size but I think you can see the difference in just one month. My erect length has gone from 4.5" to 5.5" since just after implant to today. 5.5 was my pre implant length, so I am where I started as far as length. For some reason I did lose girth, from 6.5+" down to 5.5", and that hasn't changed since the implant so at this point I don't think I will get that back. However, I will gladly trade that for the hard dick which I have now.

MK,

I don't have a titan but I do have an implant. We all are different so we heal at different amounts of time and size will vary form one person to the next with the same size device. I was cleared for sex early but at 6 months post op I am still working on getting used to the new me. I have had many WTF did I do to myself moments but it gets better. I even told myself when I decided to have my implant that I would not judge the outcome for at least a year. That was the results of reading on this forum that other had gains in size and up to and for over 1 year. I have had improvement in the last 6 months and am still working on it with cycling. I have trouble with the dog ears when I am deflated and like to have a few pumps in to smooth those out and enjoy walking around with size. But I can only get 3:00 inflated laying on my back.

You might try squeezing the cylinders to force the fluid out and see if that helps. Are the cylinder tips up in your glands? Mine were not when I first started inflating and were only in my circumcision scar. I was just over 4" when I started inflating. I was able to get the tips into my glands with cycling and soon was at near 5.5". Now at 6 months I am right at 6" and continue to work on this. Again we are all different and the process varies a lot from person to person. At 4 weeks you are still early in the process. Some you my read are farther along at this point but others can be farther behind as some do not even start inflating until 6 weeks.

As with me this can take a lot of time. So I just keep on keeping on and follow my doctors instructions. Contact your doctor if you have problems. That is what he is there for. Things should get better with time but it can be difficult for the weeks and months that it takes.

Keep asking questions on this site and with your doctor. I hope this was of some help. Best of luck going forward with this.

Thank you all for responding and encouragement.
In my case nothing fits together. When reading andy’s response, everything makes sense, everything fits into perfect equation and it easy to visualize his progress.
I learned how to inflate and deflate and working on it since post op day 12
(9/17). I do not have problems with inflation and deflating.
When fully inflated to the point of discomfort I feel end point of my tubes in the glans, I would say not in the middle but for sure in lower third of the glans. According to what I read here, this sounds like fairly good place for end point of tubing when inflated.
When deflated, penis is without any shape that looks like penis. It looks like twisted towel when you trying to get as much water of it as possible.
When inflated, it is not round nor oval shape. It looks rather like a square.

I hope to get some responses from 18+1 guys. I am worried about Titan compatibility with small penises. I know, here all guys with big ones are happy and talking about it wit many supporting their results with pictures.
I will continue to work patiently on it and keep hoping for some improvement.

MK, you will improve. In fact, your improvement has hardly even begun at this point. At 3 weeks I was sticking out at about 3:30 as I recall. You could check my journal in my signature to be sure but I am close to 95% sure. If you are "twisted towel deflated" that is good, especially if you are getting no backfill. It means your reservoir is not constricted with scar tissue. It is important to maintain its volume over the first 3 months. What you call the tubes (cylinders) will get much softer, both from the stretch of inflation and deflation and bending. Even more than that is the fact that the Titan cylinders are hydrophilic which means they impregnate themselves with most liquids and lipids. When they are dipped in antimicrobial it bonds to the implant. By the same token, body fat also binds to the cylinders making them soft and very natural feeling. All of this takes time just like healing.

You will notice weekly improvement until, like me, you will jump up one morning, pull your pants up and realize your penis just settled in all by itself without a touch or a thought from you.

Good Luck.

I have 18 + 1.5. I have an ams700lgx. I too started off with about 4.5 ". I am 16 mos post opp and am now over 6". Pre RRP i was 6.5". I say give it some time and cycle regularly. You have to heal and allow tissue to stretch. I know it can be disappointing but be patient. Hope this helps.

Come on 18+1 guys.
I know, we have small penises but we should not be hiding.
What was your outcome and at what time did you start seeing some improvement in softening the cylinders and getting some improvement in length and girth?
Especially, I would be interested to here guys with either Titan or AMS implants but with particular size 18+1.
Thanks in advance!
