Another good sleep. However wake up with a sore back. Can't sleep on my side, which is my normal position. Peeing is OK, pee about 1/4 cup at a time, so have to go often. Pain is manageable.

I can have a shower today, looking forward to that.

I havent pooped since Wednesday, not looking forward to that! I find sitting impossible?? How am I going to do that?? Help!

Hey Freddy, I'm glad things are going good for you. Here are a few helpful tips;
1. I noticed that when I was wearing clothes (after implant), I was slightly leaning forward in an effort to keep the clothing away from the little Johnson... That causes my, already screwed up back, to be sore. Make sure to have good posture.

2. Drink lots of water... I know, you will pee more BUT, you need to get your plumbing back the way it was before the surgery. Drinking lots of water will help with that but also assist with the prevention of an infection.

3. If you have discomfort, take your meds... that's what they are for AND, you need to control the regular pain/discomfort so you can distinguish between that and more severe pain caused by a possible upcoming infection.

4. When you shower, you would be better off not using soap there just yet (unless you have surgical scrub soap) You don't want to introduce anything new to that area until it heals... again, this is an infection prevention tip.

5. As for sitting, a hemorrhoids cushion may be helpful.

6. I take a LOT of medications and 3 of them are narcotics which causes big time constipation. My wife's benefits use to cover the medication I was taking for that but they have recently taken it off of the covered medications table. It was very expensive too. I started asking around. A friend of mine has almost the exact same story and she told me about a product called Restoralax.. 1 half Capful of this powder, when well stirred, is tasteless and the water is crystal clear. It is a fantastic stool softener, the best I have had since January 2011 when I hurt my back. The only thing I don't like is the texture... it looks like water and tastes like water but it is thicker. I use it to wash down my other meds and I only use 2 or 3 ounces... Just enough to get the job done. You can really put it in anything. I usually use apple or orange juice. This stuff is over the counter so very safe.

I hope you find some of this helpful. :)

Day 4

YEEEEOOOOOWWWW :!: :!:

Sharp pain today. I tried to sleep on my side. Better for my back, not so much for little Willie.

I gave birth to a 6lb. 64oz. turd yesterday

Took one of my prescription pain meds this morning, first time for that, I've been saving them for going to bed. I know things will get better.

Hi Freddy, sounds like you’re in the road to recovery. I think it’s a good idea to take the pain meds when you need them vs saving them up for later. In a few days you won’t even think of needing them, but for now best to keep the pain at bay if you can.

Thanks for the advice. I've heard how the stress pain creates, can make healing more difficult.

Day 5

Swelling is way down! Balls almost look normal, except for the black bruising.

Pain is way up! Thank goodness for pain meds. Isn't pain supposed to recede by now? I guess doc was right, he said I would be very sore for 3 weeks   he had to "break" through a lot of plaque.

He left me quite pumped which makes wearing pants difficult.

Day 6

Not much has changed. Did not sleep well, pain is waking me. Will have to increase pain meds.

Swelling is way down, increases throughout the day. Goes down overnight.

When I pee, the stinging sensation is gone.

The pumped dick is a bother. Still a great deal of bruising.

Have yet to hear when my follow up appointment is.
