Ha! I'm glad my "house analogy" worked! (I kinda liked it too, even if I do say so myself!) And it occurred to me on the spot as I was writing that response to you, so consider it custom-made just for you!

I had to laugh at your question about have I gotten the mansion yet! (Actually, I have gained about 3/4" length. Girth is definitely wider although I never measured it before my implant. Just never really thought about it. But I do think the expansion around kinda scared my husband off a bit as he was noticing it increase! But it DOES fit! LOL!)

What your question reminded me of was when I told my Pain Management Specialist that I was scheduled for a penile implant. He actually CRINGED when I told him! I also quoted my urologist/surgeon who said he was giving me "the Cadillac" of implants. My Pain Specialist then asked if I'd be getting an Escalade down there! I assured him there's no way I'd accommodate an Escalade no matter how much length and girth expansion it could do!

Like most guys I went into implant surgery expecting my dead ED penis to be revived like brand new. Testosterone, masturbation, pills, VED and injection had all failed. I did not know that a penile implant does not revive your penis, it replaces it. What you receive does not look the same, does not feel the same does not act the same, is not the same. It is a new virgin penis that at first has a smaller glans, a smaller girth and a smaller length. For months before and after surgery I agonized over my lost penis. Save yourself the grief. It's dead! Bury it, mourn it and move on. The new guy is just waiting to be used so that he can start to grow into some beyond your wildest imagination. Oh yeah!!!

I agree with you about everything you said.
My situation at almost 6 weeks is way worst then yours.
I barely can reach 3 3/4 max inflated despite already cycling it for 4 weeks starting at day 12 post op. My penis doesn’t look normal, doesn’t feel normal, I still did not take it for test ride and I don’t know when I will feel okay to test it. My perineum is still painful to sit.
My tubing is skatered everywhere, wires in scrotum, wires around penis on both side, my pump was placed in my abdominal muscle just right of my umbilicus because of to much scar tissue formed after RP etc.
I feel my implant is total disaster and total failure.

MK, if you are unhappy with your implant, I urge you to write down specific complaints and questions and go see your surgeon. You paid this person to implant you properly and you should hold him (or her) accountable. Sometimes you will get a surgeon that might say... "oh dear, that's not right... I have to fix that" Let's remember that surgeons are people not gods and they make mistakes and have bad days just like everybody else.

OK. Uncle. I give. Actually I posted my comment as a positive remark. In a cutesy kind of way. I am coming closer to my old normal as in pre ED but I'm not there yet. Can't wait to be where you guys are now. Very excited to get there. My girth is now 5" and length max 6 1/4" . But I'm still very tubey so to speak. All in good time. Long live the penis!

Hi Doug; Don't be afraid to express that you are not having a good time with your healing. I always encourage people to be positive but certainly not if you are having difficulties. Everyone that has an implant will agree with me that this process takes time BUT, you should be getting better during that time... not worse. If you have specific problems or questions, write them down and go see your surgeon... something might not be quite right and it never hurts to ask, especially now before something happens and waiting could have ill effects.

I ditched my surgeon long ago. Right now I have 2 new ones waiting to see who will help first. One guy did Donnie's 2 years ago 80 miles away, the other is a super implant doctor about 300 miles away. My next visit with him is this Wed. Just had a ct scan and this is a follow up. If someone will move my pump I am good to go. I will fix my crooked guy myself. Already well on the way there. The super uro pointed out that my pump has grown into my skin. Well I pulled it away from the surface but it seems to be attached down below too. Might be wrong but on day 3 when I tried to pull it down I swear it felt like it was stitched in place somewhere inside. One of these 2 guys will eventually move my pump into the correct position and I will be go to grow. No more complaints after that I'm sure.

Doug, some docs do put a holding stitch for the pump. How is it bothering you?

I don't think mine did because he kept telling me to gently tug on it. It is perfect right at the bottom below my testicles.

The problem with the holding stitch is that I can't use it where it is and it has grown to my skin which is much worse. {t bulges my scrotum all day and makes VED impossible. In short the guy did not follow manufacturer instructions for pump placement went rogue and is screwing everyone he does this to. Right now I have a testicle cord somehow tangled in the mix and may be slowly castrating myself.

Actually I'm seeing 2. One 300 miles away tomorrow and another early next month. The first one in wins. I haven't told either one they are in a race will simply cancel with the loser.
