Urologist -- Male or Female?
Re: Urologist -- Male or Female?
That had to be a surprise. But what can you do
Re: Urologist -- Male or Female?
The urologist that did my implant was female. I'm used to females examining my dick so it was no big deal for me. What concerned me most was her level of experience and attitude.
Married 71 yrs old Implanted 5/30/18. AMX 7oo cx ms 18 cm with 1 cm and 2cm rte. ED for many years. Pills stopped working and injections sort of helped. I sure miss the inch I lost but it works.

Re: Urologist -- Male or Female?
I couldn't care less male or female as long as they put patients needs first, then wants.
I recently watched a TED talk where a physician talked about treating a breast cancer patient and then a diabetic. And how he was empathetic towards the cancer patient because she was a victim of chance. He felt he blamed the diabetic because it is a lifestyle disease. He expressed how he has agonized over his feelings.
I wonder what some doctors are thinking when treating ED patients. Are they similar to this doctor? Some may feel patients are unlucky, others may feel the patient is to blame for their condition. After all they're all human.

Re: Urologist -- Male or Female?
My Urologist is male. I really wouldn't want a female doing my surgery. Only a man cares whether you lose length or not. A man knows you want all you can get. I've heard too many stories about men who had female Urologists. As long as you can fuck what's the problem. So you lost a few inches. I told my Urologist I didn't want to lose what I already had. He said you won't and I didn't. As far as a woman checking out my junk it doesn't bother me but I'd rather hear a Urologist say, Your penis looks great! I did a good job. A man examining and handling my junk doesn't bother me at all. Only a man realizes how important another man's dick is to him. My opinion only.

Same for me. Female doctors for other parts of my body are fine. But not with the "guy stuff."

I agree 100%. Aside from the awkwardness of showing a woman your limp dick, only a guy would truly understand just how much each centimeter means when in comes to an implant.

a) in general,
b) in dealing with ED issues, and
c) performing implant surgery.
My take would be:
a) no problem now, especially since so many female medical professionals have seen and/or handled my junk through my biopsy, prostatectomy, implant, revision. I would have never chosen a female urologist before this. Modesty is a thing of the past for me.
b) still would prefer a male, and one who has experienced ED would be a bonus.
c) would not choose a female over a male, all things being equal.
I've read posts here by guys who make reference to their female surgeon, but have often wondered whether most guys would be comfortable with a female.
Anyone care to chime in?

If she had done a better job than my 2 males docs working side by side during implant I would have loved a female doc doing the job. That also goes for any doc male or female. Results not gender. My skin specialist is female and very good. Just had my annual check for skin cancer very important here in the sunshine state. she looks beneath the gown then I take it off and hold it in my lap for the rest. I prefer her for that exam. My uro? a male is more comfortable for me. Even then female nurses see me undressed before he comes in some times. But he does the exams. that's the difference for me. I still do have some latent shyness especially when I drop my drawers in front of a new guy. I've seen 7 uros this year so far. Feel like a strip artist sometimes.

For someone who was shower shy in High School. My modest has gone out the window. I am totally comfortable naked around other men. It's all hasic equipment. Maybe because my implant gives me a nice hang. So many Dr's and nurses have seen and handled my junk.since my ED. Still will always prefer a male doctor though. It has nothing to do with qualifications. I feel uncomfortable naked around other women.

Well, that‘s a psychological problem.
With me it‘s very much different, the more naked women around me the better, I can screw them all And when it comes to implants, men think with the dick, that‘s why they believe for a woman the length of a dick is important. Obviously no woman is happy with a stubby dick but she won‘t need a 9“ either. For her important is a thick one. If the female doctor has an excellent reputation I would let her work my dick. Way better her than a lousy male doctor. In other words, it has nothing to do with gender but with the quality of the surgeon.
