Wrong device ?
So I just had AMS 700 cx installed yesterday however it was supposed to be the LG X through every step of the way I made it clear to the doctor that that is what I wanted however today when I Read the paperwork It States that the CX was used are you get sick every year so my and my immune system isn't the greatest I wanted to use the LG X because of the anti-bacterial and also because I didn't want to take a chance with floppy head syndrome can any of you guys tell me if in the operation, it had to be done that way.
44 yr. Old. White male. Average size. Healthy, Dr. Goldenberg, implanted nov. 13th 2018. Worst decision ever. Was adamant lgx, but dr. Decided cx when under. 1 cylinder 14 mm short. Buckling since day of surgery, whether flaccid or erect.

Boy, have I got good news for you... All of AMS products have the anti-bacterial coating on them AND, assuming that your surgeon implanted you correctly, you will not have a floppy head. All implants, regardless of the company that makes them, are implanted so that the tips go up into the head approximately half way. Once you are properly healed and start cycling regularly, you will be a believer.

Larry is correct the cx has the anti bacterial coating as well. Perhaps your doc chose it during the op for some reason or another. Floppy head only results from a poorly sized implant. Check in with your doc and see what his explanation is. I wouldn’t worry at all. The cx gets more rigid than the lgx. Some women love it that way!

How rigid is the LGX at max rigidity? I'm assuming it's got to be pretty damn hard with all the positive feedback?

It’s very hard. Definitely feel the difference between lgx and cx.

Mine chose CX because of a great deal of peyronies scarring. It’s more rigid than LGX.

Same thing happened to me. I told the Dr. I wanted the LGX but when I looked at my paperwork it said CX. I questioned the Dr. and she said that she wanted to max out my girth so she decided on the CX during the surgery. Said that the LGX wouldn't get me hard enough. I dunno I simply accepted what she had to say and to be honest I'm very happy with this model. It does get rock hard I can tell you that.
Suffered with ED for most of my life. Viagra then to Trimix then implanted 3/8/2018 with AMX 700 CX 21cm with 1cm RTE. 50 years old Urolift procedure performed 30 day prior to my implant surgery.

My doc sent in the AMS rep just minutes before surgery trying to convince me to go with the CX because he was freaked out over the massive scarring that showed up on my doppler. I told her hell no LGX or no surgery period. I have no doubt that I would have had the same results as you CX shocker if I had not stretched myself out using the VED before surgery. They easily dilated me to 20mm far more than needed for the LGX. As far as hardness goes that's a bunch of bull. I only use 3 or 4 pumps and that's far harder than needed. But actually the docs do typically like to make their own choice. I have no doubt that mine only gave me the LGX because it fit. Get your surgical notes and it should say why the CX was chosen. If it was for a medical reason then the doctor trumps the patient's wishes. Unless you have it in writing.
I was convinced that I would be shorted by my surgeon that's the only reason that I insisted on the LGX. Turned out that I was wrong. I've made a longer length than I had the night before surgery. No reason for me to have the LGX. the CX would be just as good. Maybe better. But I would have been upset that the doc did not plainly tell me up front that I will give you the LGX unless the CX is a better fit. Then you could have walked out. And I would have. Wrongly but oh well that's just me.

I'm scheduled for an implant on December 3 with Dr. Carrion.
Dr. Carrion told me that when the surgery begins, he will have a CX and a LGX on his tray. Which device he goes with will be determined by the amount of scarring he finds. He says that if there's a lot of scarring, the LGX would not be the best choice.
Even though I've done extensive research on implants, I intend to leave the choice of the device to Dr. Carrion's expertise.

73. Implant was scheduled for 12/3/18, with Dr. Carrion, Tampa, FL, until I was switched to a rookie surgeon at the last minute without notice or explanation. Obviously, I canceled the surgery. Sorry I picked Carrion in the first place.

The LGX should get plenty hard enough to do anything a penis was intended to do !
