With the buckling of the cylinder I cant imagine being even close to correct size. Ct scan doesnt show anything very clearly. And he will order MRI tomorrow am sure. Plus I tell him my scrotum has adhered to my pump ..... he is trying to tell me it's not but I think I can feel when its attached to something. Whether that's his fault or not I am not sure. I do feel he is liable for
1. Not using agreed upon cylinders, he admittedly in emails didnt discuss with me using anything but the one I chose. He elected on his own to use the cx instead of the lgx.
2. Left cylinder is not all the way to tip of penis as other one is......doesnt even enter into glans at all.
3. I feel both cylinders are way to long and that's after 3 times measuring implanting and measuring.
4. The pump seems to interfere with sitting comfortably, squatting, bending over, a lot of other things as well. This reason alone I would not have had this surgery done. As this is an every day, all day problem. Sex is just occasionally. Why give up comfort all day to have to this problem.
5. The pain I have been in has been horrendous with no real end in sight I am essentially up to the dr. To hurry the process along for a revision. While given that he is the responsible one should I even trust him the second time, for multiple reasons, he may try to cover up rationale for his actions. As he has already said that scarring was the cause of using the cx instead of the agreed upon lgx. When there was no reason for any scarring from the past..

I am really sorry to read about your problems. Most folks do not have many problems and most of those are temporary. I have had problems but have been able to work with them and continue to improve and at 8 months post op am able to use my penis to have sex with women which I could not do pre op. I understand this is not the outcome either of us went into this for. The thing is for me is while this is not perfect I cannot afford or do I want another surgery now. Before I would I would check with other surgeons and have my test results reviewed by them. Some things I would ask you to research a bit on this site bit are with the concerns you have listed.

1. When I was looking for a surgeon and researching this many have said that you need to trust your surgeon to use the device that is best for you. I told my surgeon that I would like either an LGX or a Titan. But I left the decision to my surgeon. You should trust your surgeon to have the experience to know what device is best for you. Many have posted on this site that by going to a surgeon that only use one brand or lets choose the device is a disqualifying point. Others have had good results going to surgeons who strictly use either Coloplast or AMS.

2. I had the same results as you with the tips after surgery. Over time and with cycling both tips are now up in the glands. My pain was not really much when cycling but was with bruising and soreness afterwards. This is still present but continues to improve. When I first started cycling my length was around 4.5 and now I am at just over 6.

3. At first I did not feel that my cylinders were to long but I did after I was able to get both tips up in the glands. That is improving now and I hope in the months to come for everything to be really close to perfect with even more increase in length that will hopefully be close to the length I had in my prime.

4. I have read a lot of posts about the pump adhering to the scrotum. This is almost 100% temporary. I have not had this so I cannot make a recommendation. You might post a separate thread about this. I sure others have information to share.

5. Pain has not been that much of an issue with me. Some others have had this though. The thing is even with infection (which thankfully neither of us has had) there is a minimum wait time of 6 months for a revision. So you have time and there is no need to rush this. No need to rush and do something that will make things worse.

One last thing I would like to add. There was a research paper on reoperations (revision's). It showed that doctors with higher volume of implant surgeries like your doctor had a lower rate of reoperation's. But all surgeon's no mater how good have them. No one is perfect and it happens. The rate is fairly low but it does happen. And then you have folks like me and maybe you with problems that can while we do not have the perfect outcome in a few months that after more time we can have a near perfect results. Many of us have a WTF did I do to myself in the month following this but man is it tough with problems like you and I have. Really makes it difficult to stay positive. This is a good place to vent and talk and make a plan. You have time to step back a bit and think things through.

I wish you best of luck and only good things going forward with this. Keep us posted. Send me a PM and I will get you my phone number if you would like to talk.

The CX has stiffer cylinder walls than the LGX. The LGX is softer and has length expansion.

Well said Newbie. I also had one cylinder shorter than the other and felt like the pump adhered to my left nut. AND it hurt two weeks after the surgery. I agree, you need to just give it a little time to make sure your issues are real and wont work themselves out. You still have swelling that is fighting the inflation of the implant (and causing pain). That will go away. If all works as it should one day you'll be happy with the results. Not saying that you won't be but it's too early to assess now.
Suffered with ED for most of my life. Viagra then to Trimix then implanted 3/8/2018 with AMX 700 CX 21cm with 1cm RTE. 50 years old Urolift procedure performed 30 day prior to my implant surgery.

Not the same, but I just had a revision and had an issue with the doc not being able to pull the right cylinder into place. The doc was not expecting to find scar tissue and had no issue with first install 7 months ago. The doc made a second incision right below my gland on the right side of my penis and cleaned out the scar tissue. Then he pulled the cylinder into place. This was done on November 15th 2018. I have a wait and see attitude because it takes time to heal. I can say I am a little concerned about the placement of that right cylinder.

Give it some more time. Think your next steps through and don’t make decisions while your angry.

Time is your friend.

Any doc who leaves the tip of the cylinder below the glans and says "there was too much scaring to put it where it belongs" is not fit feed your cat, let alone do surgery on your dick. I do not know if he has a mail order degree from Barbados and learned to do implants watching an educational video 4 times the night before or what the story is, but I would NOT let him deal with it again. If you are pumped up and have kinks, it is POSSIBLE he dialated you into the glans and the kinks need worked out to get the implant to slide all the way up but at 2 weeks, scar tissue is already forming. Sorry your implant sucks.
LGX 21cm .Milam 01/13/16. Horror; both service and surgical outcome. hated infrapubic installation. Kramer revision 03/01/17. 22cm Titan +1.5cm extender. Those who think their opinion is the only one that matters are a danger to themselves and others.

I was told that the CX comes in smaller then 12 cc size for those who cannot be dilated to that size. True or not?

As far as I know the CX does not expand in length like the LGX does, only in girth, so maybe the issue is with the glans not being able to handle the additional strain from the LGX. I have yet to activate my CX so will ask my doc next week and report back.

There are 3 inflatable ams 3 piece models. The lgx, cx and cxr. The cxr is the narrower one.

AMEN Brother!! "Top Surgeon" is a personal preference and opinion. Anybody that had a good experience is going to say that they had a Top Surgeon and who's able to argue the point? :)
