Is this unusual?
Is this unusual?
Good morning everyone. I had my surgery six days ago. I am still hurting a lot in my testicles and still quite swollen. I also noticed that the skin over my testicles feels very thick and firm instead of the more usual thinner and more pliable. I have of course have read too much on this forum lol. It seems like some of the folks who have had an infection presented as thickening and firmness in their scrotum around the pump. It has me feeling a little bit worried. My wound looks fine it’s not red I haven’t had any drainage. It seems like as I read all of your stories that people usually are feeling a lot better by a week. Here I am still struggling. I thought being young and healthy that I would spring back quickly. Do you guys think something unusual as going on? Should I be worried? Or am I just sitting around with too much time on my hands reading and worrying etc ?

I had what you describe. It felt like a thick mass over the pump. I am now 7.5 weeks since surgery and all of it is gone.

Thanks freddy that is reassuring. Hopefully just thinking/worrying too much. These full days of just lying around gives too much time on my hands

Probably just swelling. It takes a while to go down. If you see any discharge then get to your Dr. I don't believe there is any reason for concern but it you feel like it, then go back to the Dr. and have them take a look.
Suffered with ED for most of my life. Viagra then to Trimix then implanted 3/8/2018 with AMX 700 CX 21cm with 1cm RTE. 50 years old Urolift procedure performed 30 day prior to my implant surgery.

You have to aggressively treat the swelling. Icing the scrotum for 20 minutes 3 to 5 times a day. Polysporin on the incision will keep down the bacteria. Everybody heals differently. Give it some more time. I know that's what we tell everybody, but really, that's the answer.

No kidding. I drove my doc's assistant crazy. it is so damn weird someone operating on you parts that everything seems wacky. Like the rest of these guys say, take a deep breath, cycle when and as often as you doc says and you will be a porn star soon!

Re: Is this unusual?
I have low hangers and a large sack. I remember the thickening as you described and the low hangers were pulled up. At the incision site there is still thickening that is most likely scare tissue. When I started cycling at 3 weeks I needed to find the right place to inflate the pump as much was still thick and caused pain. Not much now and much easier to depress the deflated button and feel the click. I did not have any tactical pain but as I said I had a lot of room for the pump and swelling. Good luck going forward with this.
Injections failed. Implanted 3-21-18 AMS 700 LGX 21 + 1 RTE 100 cc reservoir 6.5" L 5" G Dr. Kramer.

Peanut gallery vote is for swelling.
Remember infections would include pain, fevers, and perhaps discharge at the incision site.
But it is your body, if you're worried, get in to the doc for a check up sooner than later.

Diabetic: used pills & injections.
2 TURP surgeries caused Peyronie's. 1st implant lost to infection, 2nd one is about 5 years old. But "floppy head" due to all the scar tissue, couldn't get tips all the way up.
