Advice regarding position: If you read the instructions that I think come with injection supplies very carefully to the end (who does that, right?) you'll see that they recommend waiting, with gentle stroking in an upright position for 10-15 minutes before you start to have sex. Yes it takes about that long to feel the full effects of the injection. what you describe as a second temporary erection after a failed first attempt, might be from failing to wait for the injection to take hold. That second one in the bathroom cleaning up, might just be the "real one"! I've tried it solo and with my wife and yes, it's that second erection that is really prime. good luck. I know after almost 5 years that the variables can be frustrating. But when you get it really right it's well worth the effort. And experimenting can be enjoyable too. Don't give up. You'll be fine.
Injections for 5 years PGE-1 (Alprostadil) 40 mcg /ml. Trying Tri Mix (20-2-30 . Hope is shift in meds will restore some sensitiviy. Enjoy sharing openly withother "EDguys". Love the site, informative and entertaining too!

The Autoinjent EL is about $40 on Amazon. I personally could not be without it even though I tried manual again with a smaller needle and manual definitely hurts me a little more but not a big deal.

I agree with the previous member: have the doctor give you another shot with maybe a stronger mix. I use 40/30/2 and only need 3-4 units which is literally a drop. I have a 3 hour erection and zero pain.
All the best!

On goodwood's observation about 10-15 minutes for full erection ... In all my injectings it has always only take a few minutes -- 2 or 3 really. Others have mentioned such short times also. But if it does take 10-15 minutes ... so be it -- at least it got there.

Best pointer here is venous leak. Probably a serious one. Can sessions with a Gainswave be of any help?

Edprivagte:

Ive seen the Phentolarmibe portion get increased when efficacy began to fail.
My prescription suggests (states actually) to use a lot less than a 50 ml shot

I am currently
Papavarine 30mg
Alprostadil 20mg
Phentolarmibe 2.5mg

Which was increased because i was using up to 35 -45 ml shots to get where 17ml shots used to
\Cheers

Henri,

Yeah the thing is with Papaverine and Phentolamine --- the 30mg/ml and 2 to 3mg/ml values are really the maximum amounts that can be dissolved in 1 ml of water.

Even then, they have to jigger the PH level to do that -- more amounts than that would just precipitate out as crystals and there goes your solution -- useless. PGE-1 of course can go to unlimited amounts.

I have separate vials of papavarine (30mg/ml) and phentolomine (2 mg/ml) and can add some in the syringe to boost it. Same with PGE1 (60 mcg/ml). My base mix now is 30-2-40. I usually do 0.2-0.3 ml but can boost it with 0.1-0.2ml of PGE1 for a longer harder session. From testing with each component separately, I found that there was little impact from papavarine, a modest impact from phentolomine and a significant effect from PGE1. I seem to get 80-90% of the same reaction with the PGE1 alone. I'd live to hear a cogent medical explanation of what the two other components add to the mix.
