He passed away in 2016. hard drive (username) made a post about it.

My condolences to his family. I remember reading lots of his posts when I was searching FT's historical posts.
As many of us older sufferers have pointed out when guys ask about long term success stories. How can anyone know how long a deceased members implant would of lasted if the member had not died? Or said differently. Nobody counts the functional implants that got buried with the owner.
I guess that I should point out that my FIL took his implant to the grave. Much like my SIL took her pacemaker with her. We forget about all of the successfull medical implants that worked longer that the owner lived.
