It's been a few months since I've posted to this but wanted to update on my progress. My ED remained unchanged over the summer and I was able to have regular sex with the help of 40mg a day of cialis, with about a 90% hard erection. I stopped doing the bimix shots as I found there were actually doing more harm than good, the injection sites were leading to further damage of the erection tissue.
However 3 weeks ago my peyronie's pain returned. Conferring with Dr Lue at UCSF he recommended I completely abstain for 3 weeks which I've done, but there's been no change in the pain. This tells me that the tissue remains inflamed and isn't healing.
For me then this gives me two options:
1. continue to abstain indefinitely and take the pento 400mg 3x a day and hope I heal over time
2. go ahead and get the implant
I've been doing absolutely everything I can for the last 8 months (shockwave, PRP, pentoxifylin, abstinence), and as a young man with a normally very healthy sex life waiting longer with no guaranteed outcome is not appealing to me, or to my girlfriend for that matter. So I've opted to get the implant with Dr Eid.
It's not an easy decision, but I've interviewed 9 of his past patients as well as read the multiple journals Merrix and others have posted on this site. I also spoke with Dr Goldstein and Dr Lue and they agree, I've tried everything else, I've done my homework, and I'm not rushing in to this.
I'll be posting more about how it goes. Right now I"m working to schedule towards the end of 2019.
