Stephan54 said it most succinctly. Just do it, you come 1st. If your GF is going to leave you, her loss. I would think that after 2 years together, she would be more supportive, but in times of hardships, you find out these things.
If scans found that you are going downhill, you have done yourself a favor in concluding things will get worse and jumped right to the end of stopping progression. Good for you!

I am now 3 months post-op and hands down, having this implant was the best decision of my life. I am able to have sex whenever, where ever and with whomever I want. I don't have to worry about a pill not working because I ate on a date or keeping a syringe and vial for trimix. I get a boner every time. I have had probably more sex in the past month, than in the past 5 years thanks to a new found confidence. Dating and hooking up have not been an issue...some don't notice unless they are playing with my balls. Get yourself the surgery and the rest will work itself out. I should have done this years ago while either not trying because of embarrassment or challenges with medications. Sex is a natural and important part of life and at 27, it is still high up on the priority list (At 47, it's still fairly high on the list!)! Good luck! Happy to discuss if you have other comments.
47 with ED for years. Viagra/Cialis no change. Trimix worked, but painful erections and inconvenient. AMS 700 implant CX, 21 cm + 1.5 cm RTE, 10/22/2019, Andrew Kramer

your girlfriend will leaving you because she can't accept your implant???????

I'm so sorry about it.
it is one of the scenarios I'm very worried about.

Is her reaction common case for young woman?

I have read many, many, many posts from men here answering that exact question. The preponderance of evidence is that

1) Women make love with the MAN, not to the penis.

2) very few women reject a man because of his penis or how (or even whether) he gets an erection.

3) If a woman likes sex, she is more likely to prefer an implanted penis (as long as she likes the man to whom it is attached)

4) The immature attitude you asked about in your last line is more common among younger women. Mature women are more grounded and reasonable. .

There's a dude on the Peyroniesforum who was (by his account) a ladies man. After being implanted, he pretty much got right back into banging chicks. 1 knows he's implanted and likes it, the other 2-3 (hahaha) have no clue.

It seems like he deals with depression tho, not sure if it's related to all the bullshit he went through with the venous leak or just how he is in general.

From what I gather you just need get a good doctor, with a good track record.

Sorry, but this made me laugh a little. I will have to strongly disagree. Having grown up with a lot of women around, me being intimate with almost 200, being in and out of swingers lifestyle since I was 19, counseling women for few years and having a a close friendship with a few sex counselors I can tell you there are no two women alike. Different personalities have different priorities. Even the same woman behaves completely different with different men/women. Yes, there is some societal pressure to conform to certain stereotypes and that is probably very prominent in the US being the most conservative and religious in the developed world, but under that just by nature women are just as sexual as any men can be. There are just as many women who look at men as "walking dildos" (direct quote from a female doctor/friend of mine) as there are men who look at women as nothing more than vaginas.

BillyPaul1992 wrote:I’m 27. 3D ct cavernography revealed severe corporal fibrosis (distal 1/3), multiple tunica plaques developing; 2 calcified at base and mid shaft “hourglass deformity” (fatty scars slowly hardening that are only present in flaccid and semi flaccid state), and a deep venous leak. All caused from a year ago; mixing 20mg cialis with a very high dose of antibiotics and steroids to treat a severe staff infection from a tattoo. I think I expanded my penis beyond return..

I have a surgery scheduled with a world class surgeon next month for a 3 piece implant.

I have a girlfriend of 2 years and was forced to tell her. She didn’t take it like id hope and probably will leaving me. We used to have fire Sex and shits just weak now.. and probably weird forever post op.

Pde5 inhibitors still work for me at the 60-100mg rang. BUT my logic for jumping to an implant is to prevent further corporal fibrosis building up which might make surgery hard down the road and CONTINUE to shrink my penis (lost an inch length and close to an inch in girth in a year).

1. Safe to say I’m doing the right thing getting the implant?

2. How has the implant affected your sex life in relationships? - what’s their feedback on performance (better or worse than before)?

-Much love to you all

Any update brother?
I ( 29 M) took Spironolactone 400 mg to treat my hair loss. As a result, the penis shrunk from 6” to 4”. with Severe erectile dysfunction. Looking into the penile implant with Sliding Technique.

BillyPaul,

I am in a similar situation. My wife is really not a big of me getting an implant at all, she has been more unsupportive than supportive of it. A small piece of it could be the lack of vulnerability I have had in talking to her about it, but when I have tried to talk about it she has made it clear she does not like the idea of it, the mechanic nature of it.

I will continue these conversations w my wife and even invited her to my next appointment. If she decides she does not want to be w me for getting the procedure, then good riddance. I have spoken to our counselor about this, and even she says it is your body your choice.

If you dont mind me asking, what exact reasons has she given that she is against it?

It is *your* body, *your* decision. No need to ask anyone for approval. In fact, asking a wife/gf for 'approval' for anything related to your body will almost always backfire and can cost you the relationship.
46 yr o, always had PE until late 30s (it somehow resolved by itself). ED started late 20s (unknown origin). Pills stopped working mid-30s. Due for implant in Dec 2020 with Dr. Eid

Totally agree. I never asked anything to my girlfriend. She also doesn't know that I have an implant, i told her that i had another type of surgery. I'm 32 and my gf is 26 and I don't want to share such personal thing to a very young girl. Someone says that i have to tell, others says that it's better to not tell. Even doctor have different opinions about that. But i don't really care, choice is mine and so far I'm happy with it.
