After 10 pages of looking, I found:
• Multiple Titan Pump Failures (Including Genesis which surprised me)
• Multiple AMS LGX Failures (Cylinders, Leaks, etc.)
• Not a Single CX failure
Interestingly enough, on page 13, I found two CX failures on the same thread:
Only CX failures I found
• Wolfsailor- 6 Years
• David_R - 10-12 years (wore it out)
I also found one user (RayChez) that had an implant that lasted 15 years. It was the older AMS Utrex model.
Yikes you're scaring me!
I did most of my research into implants over a year ago, and I seem to recall there being more frequent complaints of CX failures back then... It was also commonly and frequently stated in forums by various users and doctors that there was no significant difference in lifespan between the models of implants, and that lifespan shouldn't really be a factor in choosing an implant model.
Dr. Karpman recommended an LGX specifically for me, and he seemed confident that the implant should last me a good 10-15 years. He offered me the Titan and CX as well, but recommended the AMS LGX specifically for my anatomy, and likely because I had expressed to him my concerns about size loss. As it stands, I've been happy with the expansion properties of the LGX, I am currently measuring a bit over 6 inches which is almost my 16cm Trimex best Goldstein measured me at years ago. In fact, on the whole I love my LGX, I've been really impressed with my results... but man it would suck if it gave out on me within the next few years.
Perhaps if I had more wisdom 7 months ago I would have gone with an AMS CX... but then again, perhaps if I had I would've been unsatisfied with my size.
I guess I'll just have to be patient. As much as I love my implant, the one thing that absolutely sucks is that feeling of having a ticking clock in my penis, knowing it's only a matter of time before my ED will be back. I can just hope that if my LGX does fail early, it'll fail within the next 3 years as I'll still be covered by my father's Tricare.
20 years old. Severe ED for the past 5 years due to scar tissue.
Tried shockwave therapy in Greece, and PRP shot from Dr. Goldstein in San Diego. Both with no results.
Implanted with a AMS LGX 18cm + 2 RTEs, performed by Dr. Edward Karpman - 10/8/2019

Okay wow! This is it. Now I will talk to Dr Kramer and suggest that I want CX instead of LGX. Old is gold.
A young guy in his early 30s from South Asia. Implanted Titan 22cm by Dr. Tariq Hakky in Atlanta (Dec 2020). Amazing doctor! No pain during recovery. My size is 5.75” x 4.6” which is better than pre-OP size of 5.6” x 4.5”. Hoping to gain more in future.

Re: Titan LGCX
I somehow become invested in journeys of people on this forum. I'm similar to you in age and area of the world. I really regret not getting an LGX.
I don't even get a proper response to why CX was used over LGX. The doctor said he couldn't fit an LGX as I had less girth. This doesn't make sense as LGX and CX has the same diameter deflated. I have never seen this reason in any of the journeys on this forum or on Kramer's youtube channel. If the corpora is thin they used the CXR, never the change from LGX to CX so I highly doubt the reason.
But of course, this implant procedure for an uninsured third world country person can be extremely expensive.

28 year old with severe lifelong ED.
Implanted in New Delhi on 26/12/19 with AMS CX (15x12) + 4cm RTE
Post op length 4.5 inches from ~ (5.5 to 6) inches. Disappointed!
Wish to have a revision to LGX some day.

Re: Titan LGCX
I think you made the right choice with the CX and I’m guessing you will see a greater length by 12 months if you were sized correctly. I’m not sold that the LGX actually lengthens if you were maximally fitted by a great surgeon. Did you receive infrapubic or penoscrotal? Can anyone confirm LGX lengthens AND LGX lasted over 5 years?

One more note. Not much has changed regarding the Titan vs LGX discussion. The oldest implant thread that I could find (that contains content) dates back to 2010 and the topic...Titan vs LGX.

Why exactly do you wish for LGX? Because you’re hoping it will help you get your length back? Getting length back depends on a good surgeon, not the device. There are many folks here who got CX and Titan and they have got their length back. I remember I talked to a surgeon in Pakistan and he said yeah losing 1 or so inch is normal but what’s important is to have a working penis. I noped the fuck out of there, and will be going to Dr Kramer in US to get my surgery done.

Yes, it definitely depends on the surgeon but considering the LGX grows in size it is also a factor. I have seen the experiences of people gaining size by cycling the titan or CX but if you look closely there are also a lot who haven't. Consider my case I can cycle all I want but the implant won't grow beyond the measurements.

I was implanted with a lgx on 2-26-14. Working on my 7th year. Never had a problem. All I have ever done with it is pump it up, use it for as long as I wanted and then deflate it. Works great. Even my wife can pump it up with one hand hand.
70yrs. Implant AMS LGX 18cm 4cm tips. 2-26-14. Implant installed because of fracture.

That's great news! I'm glad it's been serving you well for so long. If you don't mind me asking, about how many times per week would you estimate you pump it up?
