Hey Gene, I am in your exact boat. I was 5.5” pre-op and now post-op I am at 5.2” after just a month of cycling. I hope to gain back original length in another month or two of hard cycling. I was feeling a bit insecure knowing guys here tend to have bigger penises but I feel reassured now.
Now regarding pleasing the woman, I’ve a few questions:
- How tall is your wife?
- What is your girth?
- Do you think taller girls have longer vagina length compared to shorter girls?
Are we too focused on size?

A young guy in his early 30s from South Asia. Implanted Titan 22cm by Dr. Tariq Hakky in Atlanta (Dec 2020). Amazing doctor! No pain during recovery. My size is 5.75” x 4.6” which is better than pre-OP size of 5.6” x 4.5”. Hoping to gain more in future.

newbie443 wrote:So I have a bit different point of view on this. Anyone who has posted or read this thread I have this question. How many wanted or asked to have a shorter smaller dick than they were born with?
All implant doctors are aware of the problem of size loss and all the local ones I have talked to seem to change the subject saying they do not do penis enlargement when ask about size LOSS. All these local doctors seem to take for granted that size after surgery will be at least 1" shorter and do nothing to retain pre op size. Now some men have doctors that are concerned about this and some patients do retain the size post op as pre op.
This is about doctors short changing many men. And the nut house I see is the acceptance of this not only by doctors but by some of the men victims of this.
So to answer the title question and in view of the replies I would say we are not near enough focused on MAINTAING our natural size.
I don't think anyone asked for a smaller penis but realize there is a trade off length for hardness. If you want to mantain your penis size, then don't have an implant. Points to consider include that a prosthesis isn't going to engorged the glans so there is some off the loss. Life is full ou f gives and takes and you have to decide what's right for you.

His post above did not have a signature. Thus my suggestion that he have one in order to be taken as credible on this thread. It wasn't meant to be mean, it was intended to be helpful.
Implanted 5/6/20 by Dr. Jesse Mills at UCLA; AMS 700 LGX 18 cm w/2 cm RTEs. I'm 76 & fit but had ED for 20 years. Pills/injections ultimately failed, including 3 ER trips for Priapism; Shockwave & embryonic stem cell therapies didn't help either.

Why? There are members on this site that did maintain size from per op vs post op. There are papers written on this that show it is possible and even probable. So why should we and do you accept this as fact when it is not.
Injections failed. Implanted 3-21-18 AMS 700 LGX 21 + 1 RTE 100 cc reservoir 6.5" L 5" G Dr. Kramer.

ok some guys maintain size some guys don't, some guys don't need implants others do, some people die of cancer some don't. Everybody is different, and medicine isn't exact science.
But it feels like your implying if you lost length you aren't the man you were before. Thus putting down those who lost length. A penis does not make the man.

Re: Are we too focused on size?
I really disagree. It's part of our culture and ultimately part of our manhood. For some of us that have Peyronie's, loss of size is devastating. Psychologically and physically.
It is our duty to inform people on how to prevent what happened to us or tell them how to achieve the best outcomes. The includes recommending doctors that have a good track record of good sizing and low infection rates, not just someone that's close by.
Secondly, we should point people to things that they *can do* and have an influence in helping them with the mental stress. For example there's proof in studies that traction and VED works, so why not tell them about it? Why should a person not become as informed as they can be, specially for something that's important to them.
For some men it might not matter, but for those that it does i believe we should offer help. Yes, it's hard work but you *can* do something about it:

Re: Are we too focused on size?
No! You are wrong again. I was not the one who "put down" other members posting threads about size loss by calling this forum a "nut house" because of them nor did I praise that post.
And no I am not saying a man with lost size is less of a man. What I am saying is there are ways to prevent it. As VED use has been shown in many papers to maintain and even restore some size loss I would like to GP's and Uro's to start therapy early for men with ED. And I wish we all had very good local implant surgeons for this but that is not often the case. Too many of us are left to give up size because of it. Just too many doctors left out there who sew the glans down on the cylinders when a patient has floppy glans. But there are a lot of really good doctors out there and they can be found instead of being forced to decide to give up size for an implant. But in many cases that is the reality of it. But not in all cases and we should help others try to find the really good doctors instead of telling them they must accept pre op v post op size loss.

If you want your postings about implants to have any credibility, please add a signature. Do you have an implant? (Details) Are you considering an implant? Or are you merely COVID fatigued and trolling this site out of boredom?
I respectfully decline to add a signature. Why? Because it actually doesn't matter. I am trying to steer men away from this obsession with numbers, with rigid fixation on quantifying and objectifying everything. What I say about the psychology of size and the value of sex has nothing to do with when I was implanted, who did my implant, what kind of implant it is, what size it is, how many rear tips, my age, other conditions, blood type, favorite food etc.
I find it a little strange, but then again maybe characteristic of the forum, that my genuine attempt to shake men out of a stupor over the minute measurements of their penis (which would otherwise be limp, but has been given functioning through miracles of modern science and technology) could be considered trolling out of boredom. My language is a little colorful, but I am trying to remind psychologically vulnerable men of the need for balance and gratitude. One of the pitfalls of technology is that we accustom ourselves far too quickly to its benefits, and then raise our expectations and entitlement without adjusting our appreciation for what is possible and what has been achieved.
But let me also say, I'm not anti-information. I'm not saying men shouldn't be aware of how impotence shrinks the penis. I'm not saying there shouldn't be an understanding that certain things can be done to maintain size or minimize size loss in preparation for implantation.
But at the same time, we all know that this research, analysis and information on what to do to maintain the health of a body part all too easily crosses over into rumination and fruitless fantasizing, neurosis, misplaced anger and depression.
There is a thread with a 25 year old man three weeks out from surgery who already thinks he needs a revision(maybe he really does, but it's too early to tell) and there are men telling him he should live on youtube for a week watching surgery videos. To me that seems like a psychological disaster but then again maybe I am just a troll.
Re: Are we too focused on size?
Honestly, i'm pretty sure that i was one of the reasons which made the OP post this. I want to thank you for the effort, but i want even to add something.
Like LuisFernandez said, Peyronie's disease is a DEVASTATING disease, both phisically and mentally. Phisically, you wake up everyday terrified that you've had a worsening during the night. You live with your penis in pain even for years. You feel always inflamed. You may lose sensations of the penis day after day in some cases (like mine). You can see your penis shrinking, curving, making hourglasses or other weird shapes... It is TERRIBLE.
You begin to not attend parties anymore. You begin to hate sex. You begin to avoid girls. Depression invades all your life and you feel impotent against a disease with no cure at all. Year after year, you go from "I'LL NEVER GO FOR VIAGRA EVEN IF NEEDED!" to "OK I HOPE THAT VIAGRA WORKS". You go from "IMPLANT? NEVER!" to: "I HOPE I'LL FIND MONEY FOR AN IMPLANT AND HAVE A GOOD OUTCOME".
This disease is DEVASTATING. I'm not exaggerating it.
Statistics say that, if PD is associated with ED, the chances you fall in deep depression are 95%. And the average age for PD is like 55 years. Now think about the psychological impact of this disease when you're 20-30, or in general, <50.
That said, keep in mind that many of peyronie's patient like me, undergo an implant surgery with ALREADY a situation where they lost many centimeters, so the psychological impact of losing more is HUGE. Imagine a situation like mine: 1 inch already lost. Then you undergo an implant surgery and u lose another (it may happen). 2" lost is... scary. Suicidal.
Sorry for this post, i wanted to explain myself. Thank you for reading, and for making this post.
