I tried using a 5/16" needle 3 times, and all 3 times it did not work. The Uro
used a 1/2" needle in her office the first time I was injected so I switched back
to a 1/2" needle and it worked. I think everyone is a little different but I know
1/2" is what most of the Docs will recommend using. Some guys its 5/16", some
guys its 1/2" but I believe 1?2" is the most common. Use what works for you.
Should not matter if you pumped or not, the "sweet spot" is gonna be in the same
place, I don't believe it should matter. Relax and take your time, injecting might
take a few times but you will get it.
used cialis, viagra, started pumping and using rings, just started injecting edex Jan of 2022

I also pump every day for penis health. I use the automatic pump so it’s hands free for 10-20 minutes per day. I also had the pharmacist include the erection “antidote” in my prescription so I can have that vial on hand to deflate if necessary. The 5/16 size needle works great for me. But the 1/2 would certainly work as well.

So I'm still on my first trimix script. Including the instructional injection, I have had 14 successful jabs using a 1/2" needle. During instructional visit; I asked about the 5/16" needle, and the doctor advised sticking with 1/2" said there should be no difference in discomfort, and from his patient experience; the success rate is much higher with 1/2"

I'm in Arizona; from the user name sounds like you may be too. My doc claimed he couldn't give me the antidote (and doesn't have it in his office) in an emergency kit b/c in order to inject it, he has to put the patient on a heart monitor. Not sure why he's saying that if that's not the case.

Thanks for the input on the 5/16 vs. 1/2".

Hmm...sounds like I should get some 1/2" Easy Touch to have on hand. Thanks!

Great info!

Did you push the 5/16" in until the 'hub' on the needle was indenting into the shaft? I notice most folks who are successful with the shorter needles have to do this. I feel like I'll be more comfortable sinking the whole length of 5/16" and then pushing against the hub vs. 1/2"...even if I'm not pushing to the hub with the longer needle length (feel like I'll be shaking when I do this; especially the first time and sinking to the hub plus pushing will be more stable).

My PA had no problem prescribing the antidote. I asked for it and said it would be protection for me and for him. It was $32,00 for a vial.

“ Why is phenylephrine used for priapism?
For intracavernous injection of a sympathomimetic agent, the Panel recommends use of phenylephrine because this agent minimizes the risk of cardiovascular side effects that are more common for other sympathomimetic medications.”

I push the 5/16 all the way in and so far no issues. When I first heard of sticking a needle in my penis I thought “no way” but it is truly painless.

I am new to injections but am encouraged by some members on this forum who has successfully injected for as much as 10 to years. I guess to be determined how long it will be effective.

Thanks for that info. I'm wondering (this just occurred to me)....if his hesitance to prescribe the Phenylephrine is b/c it's an ingredient in meth? I know cold medicine you used to be able to buy OTC....and they moved it behind the counter and regulated buying it to try and curb people making meth. Wonder if it's the same chemical?

***Just looked*** Apparently, that's psuedoephendrine. Not sure if they are related somehow.

Good to know on your success with 5/16". I guess I won't know until I try.

Yeah, concerned how bad my ED will eventually get and even this won't work. Then I guess it's implant time. Fuck, getting old sux. But, as my dad says, I guess it beats the alternative. I'm not sure he's right frankly, lol.

Sean762, yes I pushed the 5/16" all the way in until I made an indentation on
my penis. Like I said, I tried 3 times with the 5/16" and did everything by the
book but apparently it would not go deep enough for me. The 1/2" works very
well and usually hits the "sweet spot". I still have a few misses, it's gonna happen.
Just write it off and try again next time, it's not a big deal. I do not inject again
if I do not hit the right spot, I will just wait until the next night and inject again.

Sean762, I keep Sudafed and the antidote on hand but haven’t needed either so far. If you go to the Empower pharmacy website you can see the antidote. The more experienced injection users on this forum report dosages will need to be adjusted and after some period injections may no longer be effective. I am new to Trimix and my wife and I really like the results. But, if they stop working we have discussed that I will definitely go Bionic. The implant technology and technique will only get better. In the meantime the Trimix journey is great. Good luck.
