I only ask because it's my perspective that while cycling might get you there slower, if VEDs and other aggressive exercises are more effective at regaining/gaining more of my size, I am personally not concerned with the risks. Size is my priority because I'm a man and it's my dick for the rest of my life. That's more important to me.

I'm definitely not arguing because keep in mind I have a long history of causing self-harm with reckless behavior, and of course your opinion that speaking to your doctor first will always be correct. But it is my somewhat well-informed opinion that when the legitimate medical research that's peer-reviewed and everything is finding VED use pre and post-implant to be effectively gaining size with negligible complications, I am happily taking on the risks.

Sources I posted earlier that support VED use: viewtopic.php?f=6&t=18561&p=169469#p169469

Again I'm not arguing and I have limited experience, but I am ok admitting that size will always be my priority, though I do want to know what possible damage I'm very likely doing to myself by being excessive like normal.

Infection can be resolved with medication if caught early enough. But it can also be game over. Many times it results in the implant being removed and you left with nothing inside for 6 months until another attempt can be made. This results in a significant loss of size. Very good doctors can in some cases place a malleable in place to limit some of this loss. And even in a few cases the device can be replace with a new one.

I do not have a problem with VED use before and after surgery. I am just pointing out that there is guidelines for using a VED for sex to avoid damage to your penis. That is to go slow when applying vacuum and the limit of 20 minutes several times a week for sex. So if you can cause damage you need to be careful. That with surgery and an incision in the mix that is a place for infection can be even more risk. And the capsule that forms around the device components can contain lots of infection. After fully healed the risk goes down. And I have seen no detailed protocol for VED post op. https://augustams.com/how-to-use-a-peni ... -exercise/ That has a good protocol that addresses slowly applying vacuum and short periods of vacuum with breaks to allow circulation to return for pre-surgery VED use. But I have not seen posted anything close to that for post-surgery VED use. What I have read about VED use post-surgery is that the men were "selected". To me that means that not all men were used for the study so what were the disqualifiers? They do not say if it was infrapubic or peniscrotal. Or both. They do not say if incision location was adjusted to permit VED use. Or if surgical glue was use to close or what type of suture was used. Nor did they say it did not matter. And the really big thing for me is they did not split the group in half and compare VED use post op with cycling. So we don't know if the reason was VED use or the 8 days mean time for activation as supported by other studies. Doctors differ a lot and so do we. So there should be caution. You are right when doctors have to be over cautious but it is a risk to go against your doctors recommendations. Just because one man does it and has no problems does not mean you will not. I did say in what I have read on this forum that it seemed to me that VED post op was faster than cycling in returning size. I do not think it is getting additional size just getting back faster. But I have read posts of very fast size return with cycling alone. So I may be totally wrong as this is just a conclusion I have made and is not any kind of scientific study. But the study done in Europe on VED use post op would have been able to do so.

Geesus, with Lewis' startling report that he blew out his inflated tubes with a VED, is there consensus that it should only be done deflated or is it safe to do inflated if pressure is kept very low?

That is just my point. There needs to be a detailed protocol of how, when, how often, and how long to use it. And also who should and should not use VED. Just saying to use it or to use in inflated leaves a bunch of room for error and problems.

I know, right? I used my VED religiously pre-op but am now setting it aside — I like my new tubes too much and besides, the Perito exercise is rigorous enough and is producing quick, impressive results! That along with Trimix gel has restored some nearly forgotten confidence!

One of the main reasons I got my implant was so I would never have to use the VED again. I chucked it out as soon as I got home from the surgery.

Thanks so much for explaining that. No possible way to argue with any of it. At least I'm a risky idiot who's gonna keep being an idiot but who can also fully acknowledge you are indeed correct and smarter than I am, lol. :)

Do you have more details on this? When you say it blew both tubes out, do you mean the inflatable rods in the shaft, or the tubes connecting the rods to the pump? I’m struggling to imagine how a vacuum could apply enough pressure to cause damage to either mechanism.

Same here, does not seem possible to me. Dr Hakky even recommended I use a vacuum

I don't get it either. No chance there's some protocol against using VED while inflated. Technically I'm pretty sure the point of it is to use while fully erect. If something went wrong it was an accident, like all accidents.
