Injection Journey, Alprostidal
Re: Injection Journey, Alprostidal
I'm not convinced you're injections are getting into the cavernosa. If the medicine doesn't get into the cavernosa it will not work and I'm worried you're going to land one in the cavernosa and end up in the ER with an erection that won't go away. How do you go from Cialis to that much injection medication with just a chubby? Doesn't sound right to me. Maybe make sure you get some antidote medication and be ready to use it after a couple hours? Don't wait till it's been 4 hours before trying to make it go away until you are comfortable with the dosage. Injections are great but powerful! The hardest thing about ED injections is dosage and landing them into the cavernosa.

I do have the 'antidote' pill; it came with the medicine from the composting pharmacy...I don't know how to tell if I'm getting into the cavernosa other than injecting between 1 and 3 o'clock, which I've been doing, and then pushing needle all the way in...
63 years old, pills stopped working; Struggled with injections and restriction bands for past 2 years, minimal success. I’ve finally come to terms with needing an implant was scheduled for November 1, 2024, but my surgeon is on sick leave.
Re: Injection Journey, Alprostidal
I just called my doctor's office...he's in surgery, but the nurse/receptionist told me to continue up to 100 and if that doesn't work I will get a stronger prescription...right now I have 40 PGE, but can get 80 PGE...I'll follow this advice and, hopefully, continue to improve with my infections and get less nervous...I'm pretty sure I need the stronger prescription, if not Trimix, but one step at a time I guess!
Thanks again for your help and support!

I use 5/16 in Long 31 gauge syringes. They easily go through the skin but the cavernosa is a little bit tougher to puncture through once I get it in there I bury that 5/16 in Long syringe all the way into the hilt before injecting the medicine. Some guys will try to draw out a little blood in the syringe to make 100% sure they're in the right

Not Alprostidal, But a few notes - I started my Trimix journey with an instructional dose in the urologist office in early March.
The doc's prescription specified a 1/2" needle as opposed to 5/16". When I questioned the needle length; he said NO, for best results use the 1/2'' and push it in to the hub. So far I am at 24+ injections and NO misses.
Side note: I started at a 20 unit dose, worked my way up to 30 and then found my sweet spot to be 24 units.

My Trimix prescription has always been 40/30/1 and my initial script filled by that pharmacy was very STRONG. The doctor gave me my initial injection of 10 units and my erection lasted 5 hours and I could hang a towel on it. After some trial and error three to four units was my sweet spot which is practically a few drops. Every prescription refill since then has seemed to be about the same and weaker then the initial prescription filled and now 12 units is about The Sweet Spot giving me an erection that lasts about an hour and a half. Sometimes I'll inject less if I anticipate a quickie and sometimes I'll inject a little more if I anticipate a marathon. Significant results are seen in about 5 to 10 minutes. I'm a grower and if I used half inch long syringes I believe they would go all the way through the cavernosa and 5/16 in Long syringes seem to be perfect for the depth.

we two have a very similar story. my doc shot me up with 15 units. that one gave me the 5 hour erection. my second was 10 and that was 4 hours. now 5-8 units always gives me 3-4 hours. i also used the 1/2 inch needles and have now gone to the 5/16. i just use a pump to get some real estate on my grower and has been working great since feb.
50+ yrs old. married 25+ years. hypothyroid, on TRT. 10+ years ED, viagra, cialis now 50% ineffective. now on trimix 2MG phentolamine/30MG papaverine/20MCG alprostadil
Re: Injection Journey, Alprostidal
Reading about success stories gives me some hope, thank you. I will try to inject in the next day or two and will make sure I push the syringe into the hilt. I think 5/16 is good for me because frankly, I’m not that big. I am afraid of a half inch, although that is what Cuzznclark‘s doctor recommended… someone else mentioned drawing a little blood to make sure you’re in the right spot. Egads! I’m certainly not prepared to do that, I am afraid I would faint at the sight, still getting used to the thought of injecting myself down there!
If I don’t have success after the next two injections, when I will be at the maximum dose for this prescription, I think I will return to the doctor’s office for the next prescription so he can check on my technique
PS when I did the sonogram in the doctor’s office two months ago, I also did not get a good erection after he injected me with alprostidal, but it may have been a smallish dose… I wish he had given me a second injection so I could see if I was getting results

hello, you are talking about a dose of 40 pge, you can do 80 and the doctor says to get to 100, in Italy there is alprostadil 5 mcg, 10 mcg, 20 mcg, the 40 of pge you did what correspond to in Italy?

Are you paying close attention to plunger resistance when injecting the juice. Remember, if you're in the correct spot you will get very little plunger resistance.
