I'm not sure that advice is for every younger man. If the doctors say that your ED is permanent, if in your heart you know they are right. Then there is nothing to go back to. Why wait for an erection that isn't returning? Why delay getting an implant that allows intercourse?

All of us have been through some kind of a problem that prevents us from being able to have sex the way we want. I know from my problems it caused me to be depressed somewhat. It is important to keep an open mind and know there is a way out of this. I suggested pills, a ved and or injections these are the steps I took and I ended up with the last resort an implant because nothing else worked.
Injections work for most even if the problem is mental as you do not have to be aroused to get erect.
You should go through these steps to find your answer. Jim :D

I have the exactly same problem. Severe ED after 35 pills of sertralin. ED started abruptly two days after discontuniation. But I still have strong libido, however my dick doesnt work, its not only about low blood flow but it seems like connection between brain and genitals is broken forever. Cialis gives me 50 percent erection, but still weak. I didnt have Doppler test yet, it can be venous leak. Maybe I will try injections but implant is better option IMHO.
I personally think that many venous leaks and other simmilar problems are causing by antidepressants and this condition isnt rare. But people dont know it because psychiatrists lie.
How long did you take Sertralin?

I have pssd due to anti depressant called sertralline. My life has been turned upside down with low libido and ed and I'm considering an implant. Does anyone know any good surgeons in Ireland or UK?

Check you prolactin!!!. I bet your prolactin is in the high end or even over the range. High end or over the range prolactin causes (induced by SSRI) low libido. If so, you could try cabergoline, but only onder supervision of a Dr.

Probably you have low E also. SSRI blocks a enzyme that is responsable for aromatose, the conversion of T into E. This can also causes your problems.

Some questions
- how is your sleep?
- do you have dry skin/hands?
- do you have (mild) gyno?
- if something wrapped around your skin , do this causes marks which last longer than 10 minutes?
- do you have popping joints?

Dr Ralph is mentioned on the board, with good, but also some bad reviews.

Good luck

Libido (IMHO) is as much about the mental as it is the physical.

Surely, I am an advocate for implants. Hell, I wish I'd had explored this in my 20's. Now that I have its been a game changer! TRULY!

Happy to discuss further. PM.

Maybe I will try a therapist.

What age did you get the implant?

España1980 wrote:hey friend I was also taking sertraline and it caused the same thing, but that's only temporary. if you have stopped antidepressants try to do sports and relax and that your hormones are good and libido returns. If you don't have any injuries to your penis or venous leak or anything, if it's like you say, just relax with antidepressants, your libido returns when you lead a healthy and natural life. As they have mentioned before, there are pills and many other things before the implant for their own thing. My question is if you don't have a libido why do you want an implant? Without an implant or with an implant, your body requires libido and this is achieved, for example, by playing sports, eating well, in some cases small doses of anxiolytics are good. don't worry libido returns as soon as your mind is better.

I have been off anti depressants for 5 years and my libido still hasn't returned and pills don't work anymore.
