I personally have told friends, family hell even my mother knows(she was concerned bout my health seeing I. disappeared one day for op,she was worried bout p.. so I put her mind to rest) I. Guess it all depends on ur comfort level? I don't think there's a right or wrong, its very individual, I. told my brothers cause the were also worried about my health, and seeing they may face it someday?and it was one of the hardest things of gone through(besides the death of my daughter) if I can help someone through my experiences its all worth it, and besides dealing w/ED I. Have no shame left.....lol,but now w/my implant I have found a confidence I didn't know was there.

Something that you can not "show n tell" shouldnt be told. It does not improve your status with them whatsoever, so what do you have to gain? Maybe weak at keeping secrets?......Maybe next year at thanksgiving when we are each giving thanks at the table I will say....... thank God for a bionic penis!!! That out to liven the conversation

Here's my thoughts:
I am very confident in who I am and realistic about my talents and my shortcomings. Humans are by definition not perfect and it is the varied levels in various categories that makes us who we are.
For about 45 years, I felt inferior as a man because I knew my ability to perform sexually was substandard. Every decent looking man I saw naked caused me to think, I bet he can get that up and really satisfy his partner. Since my implant, my whole self-image has changed. I no longer consider myself a flop at love making, I feel that I could satisfy anyone sexually if I was given the opportunity. This was an added benefit that I was not expecting after getting the implant. When conversation happens about E D or viagra, or lack of sexual ability, rather than nod my head and smile like I used to, I make it a point that I don't have that issue any more, I got my plumbing fixed. If there is a willing audience, I go on to explain what I did, why I did it, and what a change it has made in my life.
We all know women that have had mastectomies. We don't think twice about seeing them with what appears to be 2 breasts, we don't expect to see them with one. Men need to assert the fact that we too are sexual beings, and the ability to perform sexually is important. I had one guy tell me once that he can "get it up" without using anything artificial. I told him I was happy for him and that he should use it, enjoy it, and count his blessings. Then I asked him if he told someone with a replacement knee or hip or a prosthetic leg that he could walk without any unnatural help. He apologized.
