Gotcha - thanks for clarifying.

DAY 7:
Yesterday turned out great from a recovery perspective. I probably could have gone to church, but glad I was conservative and stayed home. Yesterday for both lunch and dinner I was able to sit in a comfy well-padded office chair. Right before lunch yesterday was my last time on the couch! So no more sitting still and doing nothing! Felt so good yesterday I forgot to take Acetaminophen at lunch. I did remember to take the Meloxicam before bed not because I was in pain, but because it is anti-inflammatory and Dr. Morey was very clear in telling me to not miss a night taking it until it was gone. Still didn’t take any more Acetaminophen though. Wanted to see how I would do sleeping and I wanted to give my liver a break. Felt so good to be pretty much normal yesterday. Still have some discomfort here and there with my penis stuck up all the time, but overall I know the worst is behind me as long as I don’t forget I am still healing and moving in some quick out of ordinary way.
Yesterday afternoon I was getting extremely sick of the cycling chamois shorts over my boxer briefs. The padding under my balls in my perineum area was annoying me, making me walk and sit wider legged than I wanted to. This was fine when the scrotum had more swelling but now it was just rubbing me the wrong way. So, I tried going without the cycling chamois shorts and it felt amazing except my boxer briefs didn't have as much support for my chubby to stand straight up against my stomach like I was told to do by Dr. Morey and read here on FT. I assume there is something important to the angle this thing heals at? Then I remember I had hung onto a brand new in package jock-strap as something to try with the recovery process so I gave it a go. This was later in the evening and I thought I had found the perfect combination on this journey.
Went to be with my new jock-strap and boxer briefs, without acetaminophen feeling my best so far since surgery. I woke up a few hours later to the worst feeling like I had been racked and the deep pain behind the scrotum never went away! That supportive jock-strap had now become a tourniquet over the top of my scrotum! I stuck my hand down quickly pulling out on the jock-strap for relief and I then in panic tried to get out of bed quickly to remove the jock-strap. It was then that I experienced a new level 10 pain on a scale of 1-10 on my left side! I immediately fell back into bed and got still. Luckily the pain passed pretty fast as I collected my thoughts. I was thankful the pain passed quickly since I was now worried I had ripped something internally in the reservoir area. From here I took my time getting out of bed and had no pain at all! I got rid of the jock-strap and put my boxer briefs back on by themselves and just went back to sleep. I figured the support was more needed when I was awake then asleep and I was at the point I didn't care. I slept really well after that. It’s hard not to laugh a bit looking back on this now, but at the moment it really sucked.
Getting up this morning I felt my best so far. I was thankful again that my left side was fine as I felt I dodged a bullet with the jock-strap fiasco. I took the padding out of the cycling chamois shorts and that really helped. I now had the support without discomfort. I did take acetaminophen today since I had a meeting to go to, I decided to drive some today, and I was going to attempt working in my office today avoiding the couch. So far everything has gone exceptionally well today. Truely for most of us the key is just get past the first week after surgery. I am not 100% of course, but I am entering the phase where I have to remind myself I am not 100% and to not lift anything over a gallon of milk!
Moving forward I am probably going to start recapping by the week instead of day since I am healing pretty well at this point and need to start working and doing more.
OBSERVATION: So I got a hold of my post-operative notes from Dr. Morey. The bullet point area for my implant shows an AMS CX 21cm with 3.5cm RTE and then in operative summary later it says an AMS CX 21cm with 2cm RTE. It is odd that they don’t match up. My serial card for my AMS CX shows 21cm with 2cm RTE, so I am going to assume that is correct. Another thing that was odd was that my total distal and proximal corporas did not measure the same as each other. Which raised a question I hope someone can answer:
QUESTION: My right side is 24cm while my left side is 23cm. So it looks like Dr. Morey went with 23CM total for implant plus RTE for both sides. Is this an issue? Or, should I have had a 2CM RTE on one side and 3CM RTE on the other side?
OBSERVATION: Reading more into my operative notes, a 100 cc Conceal Reservoir was implanted. It was then filled with 110 cc of saline and then taken down to 90 cc saline. This has raised another question for me:
QUESTION: How much saline is in your reservoir if you have the 21cm AMS CX? Is 90 cc of saline in the 100 cc Conceal Reservoir enough saline for my AMS CX 21cm once I have cycled for a year and stretched everything to capacity? I have read where some doctors purposely do not fill reservoirs in order to soften the pump bulb? Anyway, my mind is now racing on whether I will now max out the 90 cc saline cycling before I reach the limit of the 21cm AMS CX and my anatomy. Really hoping I am wrong here. Please let me know. Thanks.

Re: TruthEdge 7/23/24 Journal + Tenacio Pump + Dr. Morey
I have a 20cm titan with 1RTE on ea side and Dr installed a 125cc reservoir and used 78cc of fluid. My paper work shows that with a 20cm the recommended amount of fluid is 68-78. So he used the max amount allotted for this cylinder. At the 13 month time frame I totally maxed out in that I ran out of fluid. At this point I was back to my original size plus a little girth more than I had previously ever measured! If you have a reputable Dr he would definitely use the recommended amount of fluid. It is not a guessing game to them it all comes off manufacturers recommendation. Comparing to mine it sounds like you got plenty fluid for yours although we have different brands and sizes. Also it’s not uncommon at all to have uneven measurements from what I’ve read. Most Drs wil either trim a RTE or add one additional to one side needing it. Either way if your Dr is good he will have done what he thought best! At this point worry is your enemy! Stop overthinking it and relax and heal up! Hang in there, in just a few months tho swill all be a bad dream and you’ll be using that thing for its intended purpose!

Day 8-12:
Things are moving along and I am seeing next steps of continued healing daily. The glue has fallen off the reservoir incision and I only have trace amounts of clue left on the scrotum incision. Both incisions look great. Sharp pain that comes and goes along the left side reservoir area is almost completely gone. It only shows its face when I get a little over confident in how I move or forget that I am still on the healing road. So, it is probably a good thing that just keeping me honest is not doing too much. Today is Saturday and my last update was Monday. Not a ton of things to share which is a good thing. Here are the highlights of the good and the annoyances:
DR MOREY PHONE CALL:
This was pretty cool - I got a personal phone call from Dr. Morey to check up on me. It was nice to talk to him directly and not through a nurse. He said he prefers an in person visit a few days after surgery with his patients just to chat and see how things are going. He was sensitive to the fact that everyone experiences this differently and he liked to make calls to those from out of town to check in on them. He was really surprised how well I was doing. He said I was a fast healer and he was pleased how I am healing up. We talked about how he had to move my reservoir during the procedure and that initially I had a large lump in my pubic area due to my low body fat. He said I would not have been pleased with it all. So he pulled the reservoir out and made a new hole to help the reservoir lay down better. He said I was a little bit of a challenge due to my lower body fat since most all his patients receiving the implant have body fat that naturally hides the reservoir. We discussed how I noticed just a slight bulge on the left side and that my pubic hair would cover it easily and I didnt for see any discomfort in that area at all. I am just going to be one of those guys that can feel the reservoir a bit when I rub my hand in that area. My skin gives in that area like I am swollen a bit there but now I know it is probably the reservoir I am pushing on. No big deal and I am thankful for the reservoir incision to get it placed just right for me. Dr. Morey did confirm he was not surprised about the added sharp pains on the left side area where the reservoir is located since he had to do a little more modification than usual there. Plan is to go to my local Urologist a week from Monday for my 3 week followup to look over everything and activate the pump. Then for the 6 week release followup I will go back to Dallas see Dr. Morey in person where he will make sure I can pump and deflate and go over cycling. Dr. Morey has a good relationship with my local Urologist who has done implants himself, but he doesn't do many implants and told me from the beginning I should seek out someone high volume if possible. So everything looks good for upcoming follow ups, although I have already jumped the gun a little on the pumping and deflating as you will see in the next highlight. I asked Dr. Morey about how tight of underwear I really need since the cycling shorts were too tight at times for my scrotum and my boxer briefs seemed too loose on their own. He said it just needs to be snug and keep the penis in at 12 o'clock as much as possible during the healing process for the 6 weeks. It did not need to be tight, just snug and training/keeping the penis up.
PUMPING AND DEFLATING TENACIO PREMATURELY:
So the day after talking to Dr. Morey, my penis and glans were getting extremely uncomfortable and sensitive. I am not circumcised so my foreskin has not been covering the glans like I am used to. Then with the swelling pretty much gone my current pump state chubby seemed not enough to be able to keep it up well in my boxer briefs as it kept trying to fall forward and I knew that anything tighter would just hurt me with the pressure. So while in the shower I decided to do what I thought was one pump on the Tenacio. I didn't make a full collapse of the pump and being a newbie and I wasn't sure I had actually made it pump at all so since I hadn't felt or seen anything different in erection. I then did a full pump collapse of the bulb and noticed the increase in erection in both length and girth. Stopped there and got dressed and everything felt a lot better in my boxer briefs. Later that evening though I started to have a new pain and discomfort like my penis was about to explode. Keep in mind I for sure didn’t fully pump up anything - there is still more to go! Anyway, I came to the conclusion that I had pumped up too much for what would be comfortable long term. So now I was nervous about screwing everything up by having to hit the deflate/release valve and not knowing for sure what would happen. Before going to bed, I tapped the deflate button and got a very slight vibration. My fear was that it would totally go flaccid and I would have to attempt to pump back up to where it was after surgery. I’m learning by fire that a quick tap of the deflate button on the Tenacio is just a slight release and not a full release. I assume I will have to hold the deflate button for a few seconds for the Tenacio to go into full deflate mode. I did one more tap and that seemed to do it! I was still pumped up just a little higher than after surgery, but now it was comfortable again from a pressure standpoint so I could sleep. I fine tuned it a bit the next day and now I think I am at a comfortable place to keep it upright at 12 o'clock the rest of the 6 weeks without messing with it more. My only real issue now is my foreskin being pulled back and making my glans extra sensitive to everything against it. When it gets really irritated, I put some vaseline on my glans and stick it inside a ziplock baggie that I cut the ziplocks off of. Kind of like a ghetto condom LOL. Anyway that seems to make it bearable at those times when I can’t take it anymore. I tried a small sock and that just irritated me in another way. So I ended up playing with the Tenacio pump earlier than expected or desired really. It all worked out and I can honestly say it is pretty easy to work with at this point of doing so little with it. It’s not like I did a full cycle with it yet but it’s good to know that it is easier than expected to inflate and deflate. Alos, I think it is pretty cool that I can fine tune the erection later by doing a quick deflate tap and not lose it all. Not sure if that was normal on the MS pump, but I definitely see it being a nice feature for when I need to back off the hardness for my wife without losing it all. Another nice thing is I was able to see a little more length out my penis. I measured at the highest level I was at before deflating and I was 5.5 inches from pubic bone. Not bad considering before surgery I was just over 6 inches. Since I was not fully pumped up, I am hoping there is still a little more length yet to appear once I am cleared for cycling. Either way - 5.5 inches is still a great place to start after surgery compared to stories I have read so far!
Not much else to share at this point. The main issue I have right now is the uncomfortable glans but I will make it. Sometimes it does feel worse than the catheter and I just keep telling myself it will be worth it in the end and the time is going by fast. I keep setting my eyes on the goal of maintaining as best I can the same angle of erection I had before surgery as best I can by keeping it straight up as best I can comfortably. I was more a 1-2 o'clock angle guy when erect so hopefully I can get close to that at the 6 week mark.
COUPLE OF QUESTIONS: So at my 3 week mark I am going to be activated in the sense of pumping up to full erection that my anatomy allows at this point and then deflated just to make sure everything is working. Dr. Morey seems vague on cycling in the sense of his idea of cycling is pumping fully up and leaving it for 20-30 minutes at a time twice a day once cleared and he usually doesn't clear you until 6 weeks! There is no mention of the Perito technique or hot baths or trying to get one more pump in after it is pumped up for a few minutes. I am not asking for medical advice, but what would it hurt to do occasional pump ups and deflates after the 3 week activation? Seems odd to me to test it at 3 weeks and then go back to chubby state from surgery for another 3 weeks. Anyway, I know it's my call but I am truly thinking about doing this after the 3 week test and wanted some opinion.
I guess that wraps it up for this one. Let me reply back here to a couple replies:
Hi Rider - thanks for the encouragement. Yeah I am just playing mental hockey at this point. I tried to find the recommended amount of saline for AMS CX 21cm and got nothing although the same 100ml conceal reservoir is used for the 24cm. So with that and what you said your 20cm TItan has I am sure I am good. Same goes for the differing measurements on my length and not matching my length on both sides. I get it and thai is why I went with a high volume doctor. I just have to trust him, which is hard these days to trust doctors if I am honest. Dr. Morey has been great and has done thousands and thousands of these so I just need to let go and remember I am in good hands.
Hey RTC - thanks for the encouraging words and sorry for the delay in posting. It's actually a good thing and means I felt good enough to get some work done! Peace.

How are you feeling TruthEdge? Hope recovery is coming along smoothly.
Hey RTC - thanks for the encouraging words and sorry for the delay in posting. It's actually a good thing and means I felt good enough to get some work done! Peace.

Is the Tenacio easy to use? The doctor I'm going to go with has some.
50 with lifelong ED. Doppler showed absence of major artery in left corpora ("I haven't seen that before" -- Doctor).

So this is my first pump ever, but from what I know firsthand so far I would say it is very easy to use. The pump wasn't really hard to push once I had the right angle with my hands. I hear a lot of guys say the MS pump was hard to push. The Tenacio ridges make it really easy to feel what you are doing too. I was able to both pump once and deflate tap with one hand. This may change when I need to pump several times of course. Time will tell once I actually Perito cycle this thing and have sex.
The only issue I saw was my finger nails digging into my scrotum! That kind of hurt, but I found a good angle to do it. I will probably need to keep my nails shorter than what I am used to.

Excellent reporting, I too had issues w low body fat, requiring a second op where the abdomen had to be opened a bit. I still can feel it when doing crunches. Lol. I am interested in this new pump any pictures? If you’re interested there are pictures of my reservore after the initial surgery on ft , it’s not a pretty site , ha second surgery fixed it all.

Howdy TruthEdge:
I don't know if this would factor into cycling of implant from 3 week activation benchmark onward; however, keep in mind that a capsule is forming not only on the cylinders but also on the reservoir.
At some other authority site someone asked why the cylinders were not left pumped up closer to 100% after surgery and wouldn't that also avoid the pain normally encountered when cycling is started. The response revolved around the capsule formation on the cylinders AND also on the reservoir.
If the cylinders were 100% pumped up and the reservoir was left empty early on then the capsule that forms on the reservoir would impact the deflation of the cylinders. It seems the chubby state is a compromise.
"Later that evening though I started to have a new pain and discomfort like my penis was about to explode."
Do you think when you do start cycling that you are going to have significant pain from the placement of your reservoir? I hope not, maybe that area is not nearly as sensitive as the penis.
Reading your post has reinforced my goal to lose substantially more weight before I get my implant.
BTW, I picked up my ICI prescription today. I need to get my zoom call scheduled/done and I will start doing injections as part of my rehab process (and hopefully other activities too).
The pharmacy instructed me to keep the non-punctured vials frozen and the vial that is punctured should stay in the refrigerator. I did not think BiMix needed this. That was one of my reasons to start with BiMix versus TriMix.
