I'm new here, and trying to find my bearings as I wade through all the information available. So many things to consider regarding implants that it's overwhelming for me. Rather than scour the years of archives, I'd like to ask a couple questions that im sure have been beaten to death. They can be simple yes or no answers, or you are welcome to elaborate as much as you are willing to share.

With regard to making the final decision to get an implant, I am terrified of so many of the horror stories I have read. Infections, revisions, equipment failures, substandard doctors, loss of size, unresolved pain, and the list goes on and on. It only adds to the confusion when I read posts from the men who are encouraging others to push through the fear and get the implant.

I guess this long winded post is to simply help me make a more informed decision for myself. I value the honest experiences, and opinions of those of you that have been slugging it out in the trenches.

1. Are the vast majority of you happy with your decision to get an implant?

2. Was getting an implant still worth it for those of you who have had to fight through the various complications?

3. Ultimately we're you able to get those complications resolved without further issue?

I'm a 52 yeard old man who has had ED in various stages for 20 years. The pills worked for a while, but anxiety and depression have taken their toll. I dread any sort of sexual situation now. I have felt so lost, but recently stumbled onto this site purely by accident. I had no idea that discreet implants were an option. I have always pictured them being some sort of Terminator based exoskeleton that would strike fear into the hearts of women.

I have a couple of consultations coming up, but wanted more raw and unfiltered information from the implant community before speaking with the surgeons. I'll close by saying thank you to all of you out there. I'm relieved I have a place to come and feel like I'm not isolated on an island anymore.

Nothing worked for me and I had many years of untreated ED resulting in size loss. Due to the size loss an inflatable device was the only one I would consider and the LGX was the correct choice at restoring much of that size loss. My surgery was not perfect and I ended up with a problematic pump and a proximal perforation. The implant restored my confidence. It let me date women again. Even though the device and the surgery did not result in a perfect outcome I am able to make it work when ever and for as long as I want.

My advice to you: Do it ASAP, why wait?
It's the best gift that I could give myself.

The only regret: Why I didn't do it earlier?

1. Are the vast majority of you happy with your decision to get an implant?
VERY HAPPY
2. Was getting an implant still worth it for those of you who have had to fight through the various complications?
No complications
3. Ultimately we're you able to get those complications resolved without further issue?
Nothing to be resolved.

All the best

That was the best I could ever do and I should have done it much earlier.

Simply stated, this is one of the best decisions I’ve ever made for myself. Should my implant fail, I will absolutely get a revision. Most guys who’ve been through it will admit that recovery can be rough. But the discomfort fades as the body heals. And now I have reclaimed a part of my life I thought cancer had stolen. So, yes, I am extremely satisfied with the results. Bionic Boys Club FTW!!!
Aggressive prostate cancer (genetically predisposed) at 52. Required immediate intervention. Robot Assisted Radical Prostatectomy (RARP) in December 2021. Erectile function never returned. Penile implant (AMS-700) in March 2024. Bionic Boys Club FTW!

Hell yeah I’d go back and do it again. One of the best decisions I’ve made in my life.

Not only that, but if I knew what I know now and knew there was a very good chance or even a certainty of infection or complication (which there isn’t, it’s only a few percent), I would *still* probably do it again. Why? Because even if you have an infection or complication, in many/most cases (ask your doctor) it is fixable, it just takes more time and further procedure.

And it should almost all be upside. Meaning, if your dick doesn’t work now, and you are in one of the exceedingly rare cases where it *never* works again, well… what did you lose? Sure, procedures, time, cost. But your dick doesn’t work now. It’s not like you took a good thing and made it bad. You’re just back where you started: your dick doesn’t work.

There is little to lose and so so so much to gain.

Not only will you improve your dick situation, but you’ll kinda vault to the front of the line. You’ll be hard on demand, for as long as you want, even if you cum. Of course you may not want to take the risk if your dick sorta works or works well, but the significant advantages of a bionic dick over “normal” dicks are pretty significant. At 50 I have a better sex life than I ever did, many times over, and significantly better than almost all middle aged dudes and for that matter most dudes generally.

A year ago, before I seriously considered an implant, I was broken and trying to figure out how to gain *any* degree of sexual potency back before I fucking kicked the bucket.

Now I fuck all the time. I love it. The girls love it. For the first time in my life, girls are with me because of my dick, not in spite of it!

Yeah. I’d do it again. And again and again and again. Do not go gently into the night!

Be well,
Leto
50. Implanted 5/21/2024 at Kaiser SSF. AMS 700 CX 21cm, 3cm RTE. Penoscrotal. Venous leak my whole life. Pills helped, but hated the side effects; worked less as I aged. Skipped injections. Grateful to bionic brotherhood that helped me make this decision.

I didn't have a choice; nothing (see signature below) worked for my ED, so, yes, I would do it again.

However, I do think if I had the ability to do it all over, I would go with a malleable. I have too much anxiety about the IPP; it just has too many components and, similar to the user newbie, I have a REALLY buggy pump which doesn't help with said anxiety. In many respects, this anxiety just feels like ED 2.0. I've already spoken with Hakky about swapping to a malleable; he said most likely I'll need yearly dermal filler injections to make up for the consequent loss in girth, which is a sacrifice I'm willing to make for the peace-of-mind. In fact, I found someone who offers it locally.

So, yeah, those are my feelings.
40. Implanted July 5, 2024, by Dr. Andrew Kramer, Urology Associates of Cape Cod. AMS LGX, 21cm cylinders + 2cm RTEs. Idiopathic "hard flaccid" ED following bacterial infection. Tried pulse waves, Cialis, TRT, even spinal injections. Nada.

Yes, I would do it again, now that I know what it entails. And I'm saying that even though my recovery was tough.

I suffered from ED for around 13 years. Viagra worked great at first, then it failed. Trimix was the same, good at first. I knew nothing about implants, didn't know such a thing existed. When I found out about implants it was my hope/dream to get implanted. Having a wife who is much younger helped me take the leap. Being it was my first surgery as an adult that kept me nervous enough to not really do much research on implants. I had not found Frank Talk yet. I didn't know what the outcome would be except knowing it would allow me to have erections again.
At my two week follow up doc tried to deflate me. It was too painful, so I stayed inflated until my 5 1/2 week follow up. At 6 weeks had my first sex. No pain during but afterward I hurt. For about four months every time I'd inflate it would cause me to get sore. Around six months everything settled down and by one year the implant just felt like it was a part of me. Now just past five years I'm sure it saved my marriage.
