Did you not bother with it at all?
LGXDownunder, no reps per day![]()
That thing is like a torture device, the ridges on the outside of the pump bulb hurt like heck when you squeeze it. That's the way it was in my scrotum too, the ridges hurt when I first started trying to get a few sneak squeezes in at 4 weeks. It even hurt at 6 weeks when I had my device training after they deflated me and I had to inflate it some; I only got in 10 pumps before I had to stop.![]()
After the surgical capsule forms around the pump, it is very comfortable and it doesn't hurt. It's amazing that they can get that big ole thing in your small scrotum with the other two boys.
Boston Scientific use to have an instructional video for the MS pump, showing you different methods to pump, but I guess they took it off the internet, it was a very good video.
I pump with my right hand index finger knuckle and the lower part of my thumb to squeeze the pump so that you are using your forearm muscles rather than just finger muscles.
Good Luck Downunder,

Thanks again SWorks. Waiting to see if someone says they've done 500 reps in a day

Yes it looks positively evil. I was wondering about pressing on those ridges inside the scrotum.
I can feel everything in there now, as the swelling has pretty much completely gone. Everything hurts more as a result though.
Can't wait until the surgical capsule finally forms and things start to feel more normal.
I'm able to identify the pump, block and button easily when I feel around in my ball sac, as well as some of the tubing attached.
That's a good point about using forearm muscles, I'll try it with the toy pump.
If you still have the URL for that video it's sometimes possible to use the internet archive to unearth one or more instances.
