I just had a video consultation with Dr Shaeer in Cairo and I was impressed with both his manner and knowledge. We talked about the different approaches to the Peyronies I have and of course until we do an in person examination with ultrasound he won't know which approach will be best for me.
One potential roadblock to my implant arose. Because I have an upward curve, if it is necessary to do grafting for the Peyronies, I may not be able to point my penis downward without risking breaking the graft. He said this only occurs in a small minority of the cases but it does occur. If that were the case for me it has 2 ramifications. First I would not be able to stow my penis downward, which for me is not an issue as I have always stowed it pointing up and to the left. The second issue comes to using the toilet as I would not be able to point down into the urinal or the toilet so that complicates going to the bathroom.
These are only issues if I get a malleable implant since there is no true flaccid state. One possible solution he thought of as we were talking was the surgery to release the suspensory ligament. I need to research that more as it creates stability issues, just not sure how much of an issue that would be during sex. As I said before I am 69 and have had issues with my hands that makes an inflatable implant impractical. I need to think this through and decide soon what to do as his schedule is quite busy in the coming months.
