When I am 3/4 inflated I can do this with what I would call a significant but bearable discomfort. It seems to be effective.

But if I try and do this fully maxed out the pain is excruciating and quite frankly, unbearable so I don’t. I sincerely hope that the expectation is that you don’t have to try and bend a steal rod.

I just do nothing and tolerate the ‘pumped up to the max pain’ for gradually increasing periods of time.

One last query. When fully pumped up to the max it sits at about 1 o’clock. If I try and push it down to say 3 o’clock it is again very painful. Will this ease up over a period of time?

All sounds pretty good Wodjathat. My own uro taught me much the same and it does get less painful over time if you keep doing it regularly.
I've always had a banana bend and a slight curve, now worse post implant and found out it's due to PD but should resolve eventually.
I had a follow up appointment this week and he showed me a slightly different technique to help straighten everything.
He only had my implant pumped to probably 50% for the purpose of that exercise and I have to bend it down and against the curve.
I also would not be able do it fully pumped, mine is way too hard for that, I'll be doing that a reduced level of inflation.
My erection now sits at around 3 pm with a banana curve going down then it kicks back up. Working well for PIV sex.
A 1 pm erection angle sounds great to me. I've never been as steep as that, maybe around 2 pm in my youth. What was your angle pre op?
The pain does eventually reduce when you bend your dick, but you could try a cycling session or two in the shower or bath, and apply hot water which can make it easier to both tolerate and pump. I normally do that twice a day and can easily tolerate some very aggressive bending angles now.
But when I bend it I apply the pressure slowly.

Finally implanted Mar 6 2025 AMS 700 LGX 21cm x 12mm, no RTEs, MS pump, Penoscrotal.
Recovery great so far but have a bend.

Sorry, I didn’t see your reply and asked a similar question in a new topic.

In my youth I pointed to 1 o’clock but pretty sure I could point it downwards with minimal or no pain. Could have sex in any position. No issue.

In later years (just prior to the implant) I’m pretty sure it was pointing a lot lower. But ironically I don’t recall exactly where, my focus was on experiencing ED if that makes sense.

I was very diligent about making sure my dick pointed north all the time for at least 3 weeks after the implant. Maybe that helped.

Funnily enough I have taken upon myself to bend against the banana and kink at the base semi inflated. When fully pumped up I am enough pain (particularly with the tube tips at the head of the penis) let alone to try and bend the shaft. Two problems. When fully erect, it’s like trying to bend a steel rod and seriously when I try the pain is excruciating. It is virtually almost impossible. (for me at least)

Maybe I’m overthinking and pushing and expecting too much. I am only beginning the second week of cycling.

The doc said do 2 x 5 minute sessions a day. I have upped it to 2x 10- 15 minutes a day. Maybe I’m overdoing it a little. Just this morning I really felt uncomfortable for a long while afterwards.

My biggest concern is that in coming weeks I want to be able to angle the penis down so that I can enjoy different sexual positions and not be in any significant pain.

I am even thinking that a strategy when I want to have sex will be to inflate to a point where I strike the right balance for hardness and being able to bend it to appropriate angles.

I would still continue to push the pain barrier to the maximum when doing the cycling exercises.

I don’t think you’re overdoing it. The Rigicon nurse I’m dealing with (Belinda) encouraged me to inflate for as long as I wanted and could tolerate. I’ve been cycling for around 1 hour 50 minutes each day at roughly 80-90% and still find it impossible to angle my penis downwards.

Belinda is my support person as well but to be honest I haven’t touched base with her for a while.

It is interesting that you also experiencing some difficulty / pain in trying to bend the penis downwards to say 3 o’clock.

Is Belinda aware of your inability to not be able to angle your penis downwards and more particularly, is she concerned?

Hey JSmith I might have got onto something! I noticed that all the time I was pumping up I tended to be lying on my back with my dick pointing north (as in towards my chin). When fully erect it was also at a very solid 1 o’clock.

I did a change up which seemed to make a big difference. I pumped up but this time I sat (and even have stood) but made sure my dick was around 3 o’clock. Made a BIG difference.

I didn’t get that excruciating pain and this time I was moving it more up to north than the other way around.

Early days (I’ve done it twice) but I hope this will make a big difference. I can actually move my dick, yes there is pain but nothing like before. Fingers crossed

This is interesting. I’ll have to give it a try. Also, I noticed you mentioned you had a banana bend? Mine seems to curve upwards - Is that what you mean? I’m hoping that it means the cylinders haven’t stretched the tissues as much as they can yet and everything will become straight with more cycling.

Banana bend as in when looking down at the penis the outer bend is on the bottom side of the penis. The head of the penis is pointing towards my stomach. My bend isn’t that bad. If I can make it a little straighter, good.

Good luck with trying to inflate the penis when it is pointing at 3 o’clock (or thereabouts) when it is flaccid.

Hope it helps you. I’m going to try tonight again after the footy. Good luck
