Note that depending on the failure, the full implant replacement may not be necessary which may lead to a lighter version of surgery.

If it comes to the full replacement, you can ask for a pre-connected version of the assembly where pump-cylinders connection is done at the factory. That leaves less room for leaking due to connectors issue.
