Swelling got worse overnight. Is that normal? Day 3 now. Everything seems swollen and black and blue down there.

That's normal. It's healing. Keep up the ice routine, lay down and rest. The first week you're gonna be questioning your decision.

Per my instructions I’m supposed to pull down on the pump in my scrotum every time I urinate. Trying to figure out how to do this when there is still a lot of swelling. Should I wait until swelling goes down to pull on the pump?

That's a question for your doctor.
My thought is if it causes pain, don't do it.
