trimix vs bimix

Before I had ann implant I tried MUSE and had a lot of aching so my urologist went with Bimix. I did not have a prostatectomy and mainly a neurological issue from childhood trauma with additional venous leak we think. Bimix worked well at the right dose but was a narrow I dose range for me. Too little and un dependable erection. Too much and I was about to head to ER a few times and spent hours after sex on several occasions wishing my jeans were not so tight. Be sure to check with your urologist re max dose and strength as another guy mentioned and then may want to try low dose Trimix again as a test now that you have had some experience with erections on Bimix if Bimix still doesn't work. Don't give up.

just wanted to update from my initial posting. i was able to obtain a script for trimix from my uro. the formulation he prescribed is a basic 30/1/10mcg.
i tested an inj last night using a dosage of 16units. it seemed to work fine. not very much pain at all at first. the erection quality was about the same as bimix however i noticed that the erection would subside a bit, but then come back. this happened a few times over the next 2 hours. it finally went flaccid at about the 2 hr mark. during that last hour or so, the ache increased a little but not excessive. if i touched or massaged my penis i could feel more ache..... weird i know.

i think i will test again in a few days but use about 20units. I got a 1ml vial so i could try 5 or so times.....no need in wasting it if i can handle it.

as a side note... i was curious of what the trimix gel formulation was. i found the mfg site and noticed an order form. in it was the 5 or so options for the gel. the minimum formulation for alprostadil was 500mcg. from there it went to 3000mcg's. wow. if my one and only trial was at the 500mcg level, and i used 50units, then i got no less that 250mcgs. way more than my injection last night of appox 1.6mcg. that would explain the extreme pain that i got when i tried the gel.

on another note, i have read that post RP patients have a higher tendency to have pain associated with alprostadil than those with no surgery. from what i read, up to two years after surgery the pain could be expected. my surgery was in march 2015.

anyone have any thoughts or similar experience, please reply.
