But it wouldn't matter because you can no longer get a natural erection.

True for most. Some evidence that erectile function is POSSIBE to be retained exists. Slim to none for most, though.

Then there is the difference between the spongiosum tissues anpnd the cavernosum tissues to take into account.

I'll be happy with my bionic one.

I'll be doing the recovery on my own (no wife, etc.) from the hotel in Baltimore.

You can bet I'll be posting.

To the original question.

I agree the worst part of it was wearing the catheter overnight, but that is standard procedure and you can't get around that. When Dr. Knoll did my revision, they took the catheter out after the surgery and wouldn't let me leave the hospital until I could pee and I couldn't. So a semi-attractive young nurse came in and inserted the catheter while I was conscious. Yikes. Dr. Kramer left it in overnight and I took the Oxycodone to help with the pain of the catheter.

I had virtually, possibly literally, no swelling because he is such a good surgeon. The ice helped. I had normal discomfort for a few weeks and wore loose fitting athletic pants until activation time. But, I would say all in all my pain was tolerable. And I do agree that it will vary from one individual to another. You will certainly have the minimal amount of pain possible for you by going with Kramer.

And your scrotum won't swell up like a grapefruit!! Not there it won't.

Be patient as swelling may slow inflate and the worst thing is trying to inflate with you still being swollen. Think long term and you will be pleased as you can hang your shirt on it in the morning after inflating.
Implanted March 2nd by Dr. Kramer with AMS/LGX. Had a problem lower left (scar tissue) and he placed a larger (thicker) implant as you can here on the YouTube video. Got all back, ED over 10 years before Implant.
