I also had an infection. I noticed some puss about 3 weeks after surgery. Fortunately, my check up was the next day. I hadn't had any since a few days after the surgery until then. Doc put me on 2 antibiotics immediately. If there is puss, there is infection! You should be on antibiotics. I also soaked in warm water with a pinch of epsom salts (remember those, you old timers?) Doc told me afterward he was scared, he thought he was going to have to take it out, which would be the first time in 15 years.

If you see puss, call your doctor. He should respond immediately. If not, call again. Call the hospital where you had it done if that don't work. Keep making noise until you get action! You have to champion your own health.

Well this friday will be 7 weeks post and it looks like things r finaly getting better still some pain but not as much and it looks like the draining is slowing down,I have a Dr appotiment today so will let u know how things r going
