People,

Sam and I, both, were damaged (physically and emotionally) by the same surgeon, aside of being deceived about the device we got implanted. He does not handle well failure, and is very quick to pointing fingers to others to justify his bad job.

Sam’s and mine experiences are not isolated. I have received so many PMs about errors made by him, but no one wants to speak out because of the broad fanboys ready to blindly defend him no matter how much damage he has inflicted, even after having a streak of high pumps outcomes that he needed to fix discussed here.

Plumber, you guys (and everyone with problems by the same guy) NEED to speak up. Maybe he is only "high volume" because everybody seems to love his work. If people started speaking up, numbers would fall as would trust. Every time a new member shows up here, somebody tells him to go to Eid or Krammer. As the Moderator of this site, there are some expectations of me. For the most part I have to stand on my tongue many times and either not post or behave. Although I have been advised to let them speak out in favour of their favourite, the COMMERCIALS WILL BE DELETED. Thank god I am Canadian and have a fantastic surgeon. The only complaint you will see on Google about mine is that he supposedly does not spend time with patients to answer their questions. Here's what they don't say... he gives out his home email address... I emailed him this past Monday (Easter) at 8am... he answered me at 8:20am, I answered him at 9:07 and he answered me at 9:23. The review was absolutely FALSE. His secretary told me that he insists on his appointments being ON TIME... I like that. I was able to ask some questions in his office but, you can't expect to keep a busy surgeon answering every question you can think of... What's wrong with asking a few of the big items and then sending him an email with the rest? NOTHING. I love this guy.

I agree 100%. Everytime I see high volume I want to ask was it a Ford, Chevy or Chrysler, Totoyota, or Nissan models that he sells.
My Dr gave me his email day one. The only time he was slow to respond was over our Labor day. His phone fell in the lake. Even then he apologized. If you think about fo you like waiting way past your appointment time with a dr.

I agree 100% with you. Another problem for us, the affected ones, in the issue of having a bunch of “Fake Users” that obviously waste no time to attack back after exposing him.

Life is not always fair, but I only hope one day everything will be exposed, hence avoiding more casualties.

I feel your pain. I had 2 surgeons ruin my dick and my doctor now is working his ass off to try to fix things.. It will be at least 2 more surgeries to correct.

To be clear, my 1st surgery done on January 4th 2017 was done by Dr. Neil Baum. As for asking the person who left me with a floppy head to repair it, wasn't even a remote possibility. I would never have allowed him to do the revision. After discussing my results with him at activation he acted like the surgery was a success, in his words I just needed to take Viagra before sex to help engorge the glans which the implant stopped short of. One of the reasons I had surgery was to no longer need drugs.

My current implant was done by Dr. Kramer which was done approximately 3 months later. In comparison to my first surgery my revision was much better, the pain was less and the heal time was much faster. Some of those benefits came from the scrotal approach vs. the first being infrapubic in my opinion. My first implant was undersized 4cm and the pump position was terrible, revision fixed the floppy head and pump placement, cylinders are still undersized, video stated I would receive the 22cm Titan + 1 RTE. but paperwork shows I got a 20cm + 1. Could the Coloplast sales rep gave the doctor the wrong unit during the procedure? I also have a left twist in the head and shaft from the left cylinder being 1-5cm deeper in the glans vs. the right side

I can have sex with my current implant but not what me or my wife's expectations were. I spent many months researching the surgery and felt I would have a very successful outcome. I had sex months before my surgery using Viagra and had successful erections but would lose them during sex, so I shouldn't have suffered any loss in size. I think it's a roll of the dice on success or failure, just too many variables. I know all doctors want the best possible outcome, but can't garantee success.

Thanks again for everyone who post on this site. I felt it was my responsibility to add my story for those who are in investigating an IPP. They need to read the negative outcomes as well as the many great success stories we've all read here.

It is his responsibility to perform a simple check of the device he is implanting before proceeding. This is not a game, it is a human body you entrusted him, and he messed with.

After some research and PM with you and couple of others, I changed my future surgeon to Dr. Eid. I believe that to be the right decision. But aside from personal feelings and "fanboys" as you called it, there should be a way to measure doctor's performance. Just like the rate of infection, which ranges from .5 to 1.5-2% (.5 being one of the best practices), is there a rating for revisions? I understand that no rate of revision is acceptable but is there a rating for patients to check their doctors? I'm planning to ask Dr. Eid when I visit his office in about two weeks. I understand his infection rate is .5%.

NO, the Coloplast could NOT give him the wrong size. There are stickers on each of the three pieces that the surgeon peels off and puts on a Patient Device Record. On the stickers is the size and serial number. It is the doctors responsibility to check and double check. Also, he knew before surgery that the cylinders did not go up into the glans so he would know that they were the wrong size.

Bingo, Larry! That is the way responsible healthcare providers work. Imagine giving the wrong medication or dosage because someone gave it to me and I did not verify it. I could end up damaging, or even worst, killing a patient.

Aside, the other issue Sam has (a cylinder shorter than the other) is not related to lack of verification of the implant, but sizing incorrectly the cavernosas. One can be longer or deeper than the other, and adding extra RTEs will make it symmetrical.
