Re: Johnnyborg’s Malleable Journey
I skimmed your posts but missed if it was penoscrotal or subcoronal
Born 6/15/74. Was diagnosed with venous leak in 2020 and had an MPP installed 5/25 by Dr Laurence Levine of Rush Hospital Chicago. He used a sub-coronal incision. Had MPP taken out 7/25 due to discomfort and insomnia. Sit to urinate. Living death.

Hey Mark! Hakky did subcoronal approach for me.

Day 11 post op:
Well, I’m about to head out from the hotel to the airport, and from the airport back home. Feeling totally up for it, pain today is very manageable.
Wish me luck y’all, I have a feeling it’s going to be an interesting part of my journey

Mid-airport adventure update:
Gentlemen, I’m currently sitting at my Gate
I’m still not able to get the implant to bend “lightly” down into my trousers, so it’s still pretty much at 3 / 4 o clock and so I’m wearing a large button up work shirt + my long winter coat to cover it. Had no problems concealing it like that. HOWEVER, walking around like this? It suuuuucks. I’m wearing a baby sock over my glans which ABSOLUTELY helps, but honestly my penis is just SORE SORE SORE when walking around like this. I can’t WAIT to bend this damn thing (I’m planning on starting bending closer to Week 4, to be extra safe).
TSA was a complete non-issue. I have TSA pre and walked right through the old school metal detector. TSA agent waved me right by.
However, I’m here 40 minutes early
under most circumstances, I prefer being early for my flights. I thought for certain this time I’d be cutting it close, since I’m practically LIMPING through the airport. Honestly, hardest part of this is the soreness or sitting and walking around. I’ve gotten real used to just laying naked in bed all day
looking forward to getting back to that when I’m finally home.
I’m definitely healing - lots of little improvements I’m noticing over the last 48 - 72 hours. But I’m still at a point where clothes and even supportive briefs are quite uncomfortable. Hope I can cross the bridge soon.

Just jumping in to say I MADE IT home. I’m INCREDIBLY sore, but I made it. Now back to resting and recovery.

Rest up! Hydrate, get your protein in! Sleep in if you can!

Hey Mark! Hakky did subcoronal approach for me.
This seems to be the preferred method for semi-rigids these days
Honestly, my biggest discomfort from my surgeries 6 months later are from the subcoronal incisions. There are a lot of nerve endings in the foreskin

Re: Johnnyborg’s Malleable Journey
Day 12 post op - morning:
Settled back into my own apartment yesterday. It’s really weird being back home. It feels like I went into an alternate universe weeks ago, and now I’m back home but… I’m in a completely different timeline
it’s a very very strange feeling.
To break it down - I left my apartment approximately 2 weeks ago living one life, I came back yesterday at the start of a new one
cheesy I know, but it’s how it felt coming back home.
Sleep: sleep is getting better. I still get woken up in the night from pain, but I think it’s gradually happening less frequently, and when it does happen I’m able to handle the pain and then fall back asleep quicker than a handful of days ago. Also - last night I slept without any pain medication.
Pain: feels more like I’m transitioning into the “soreness” part of the pain journey. I’m still getting some “zapping” pains throughout the day. As I understand it, this is a good thing. Indicates nerves are firing back up in the region.
Guarding: this is improving too. I’m still clenching in pelvic floor occasionally against certain pain sensations. But it’s not as intense or “locked” as it was even 3-4 days ago. I suspect this will keep gradually improving in parallel to pain.
Dribbling: this one is freaking me out a little bit still. After peeing, there’s usually a few drops still trapped in the urethra. Apparently, the pelvic floor usually sucks these out of the urethra (when it’s healthy) leaving only a drop or two (hence why guys will give a quick “shake” at the urinal). For me right now, however, it’s a lot more than 1 or 2 drops left - I have to basically “milk” the rest out from my urethra and I usually have to do this twice, because if I don’t, it comes out as multiple drops later on. I suspect this is very much related to swelling (I still have swelling) and my pelvic floor guarding, and am hoping to see improvements over the next few weeks. If not - and if it looks like this is just a new, persistent issue - there are other things I can do to address it.
I’m coming up on the two week mark this Tuesday. I must say, I’ve REALLY improved between Week 1 and Week 2 already. I’m actually already getting used to the “feeling” of the rods in my dick too, like my brain is starting to identify them less as “threat”. A very good sign. We all gotta learn to get along and relearn how to work as a team
