AnotherOldMan (like me).....they are both high tension, I guess we will start from there. This encore ring
fits kind of rough and does not hold the blood anyway so I really do need to try something else. I am just
hopeful the Osbon rings will work with my Encore pump, that I am not sure about. Thank You much for all
your help and information. I guess I could try two Encore rings but I don't think I have two that are the same
size, I will have to look.

OldMan.........opps, I was not correct. I checked the order and the large ring is high tension and
the medium ring is regular tension. If I understood your previous post, the smaller medium tension
would be closer to the base of the penis and the larger high tension would fit on top of that, correct?

I did read in several places that if you use 2 rings the smaller, tighter ring goes on closer to the base. I try to do it that way, but when I haven't I don't notice any difference.

Use plenty of water based lube and soak the sleeve in hot/warm water to soften. It goes on first and almost entirely eliminates the snap you get from the rings sliding off the cylinder and greatly reduces the discomfort from tight rings.

I use the Encore that comes with a manual pump and an electric pump. Using the loading device I found the Osbons go on and stay on the cylinder better than 2 of the Encore rings(They are thinner)

OldMan with great knowledge.....I am guessing that with that foam sleeve an average size guy
would go with the number 2 size??...Does the sleeve bother either of you when you are having
intercourse? I also noticed that sleeve would help greatly with the hinge effect, correct? I can
get a nice erect penis but I do have the hinge effect.....greatly. So I guess you could say a nice
erect cock but pretty much at half mast..... , and of course I have the leakage problem so it

I had that same question when I saw it recommended on this site. Searching "foam sleeve" on FrankTalk can bring up a ton of discussions from 2015 and earlier. Going through them convinced me to give it a try. By the way there are also a ton of informed discussions from then and earlier on various ways of using a VED

U & Me sells 3 sizes of the 1" sleeve. What you would get is based on the measured circumference of your flaccid penis. I think they have recommendations based on the measurements.

My wife says she doesn't notice it at all. Guys with the hinge effect say it helps. However, I do know I have it on, but it is less uncomfortable than 2 tight Osbon rings by themselves.

My suggestion is trying various combinations by yourself. Try one ring by itself then the other then both. Do the same with the sleeve. Shower time was perfect for my experimenting. When I did this I found the sleeve with 2 rings gave me the confidence that I would remain rock hard until I removed the rings. That confidence enables me to focus on her enjoyment not whether I can keep the erection. All that said, there is a 20 -30 minute time limit that should be strictly observed. After that time you should remove the rings and allow blood to flow into your penis before re-pumping.

I have 2 VED's(a backup---just in case), one vacuum pump(LeLuv), and two water pumps(Bathmate and Penomet).

I "assume" you are thinking of a routine when I first started with a VED? For the first month or so I pumped, held a minute or two, deflated, and repumped from anywhere from 15 to 30 minutes. Once I learned how to efficiently pump up and slap a ring on, we tried sex. Somewhat like your experience it was mixed at best. That's when I started experimenting with restriction rings and later the foam sleeve.

I have also taken from bldoink's routine of using PDE 5's before injecting. I have found that on the morning of the days of our scheduled sex if I take 40mg of prescription generic sildenafil a couple of hours before, it seems to help. That dosage is inadequate by itself but seems to be below the threshold for those funky side effects.

Just a reminder. When it is time to remove the Osbon tension band, it is recommended not to use the rings by pulling hard on the “ears.” They will break. Instead, lube your finger and simultaneously work your finger under the band while pulling on the “ear.” Then do the same with a finger on your other hand so that you can stretch the band with both fingers.
