Injection Vs Implant?
Re: Injection Vs Implant?
I’m still getting firm erections with a fairly low dose of trimix. On my last visit to my urologist, we talked about implants. I still can get natural erections (they don’t last long) and my wife likes getting me hard for blow jobs a couple of times a week, so I’ll hold off the implant as long as the trimix works.
Age 67, Ojochal, Costa Rica. ED related to relapsing remitting MS. Increasing doses of Viagra worked for 10 yrs. Been injecting trimix for last 10 yrs with >95% effectiveness. Erection 10/10 for 2 hours.

Update. After doing injections, it’s been mostly hits with a few misses, I am getting scaring.
My hesitation with implant is having a foreign substance in my body. I’m clear now that if that’s the recommended path, will take it. Meeting with doc later in the week.

+1 on all the above. But one concern not mentioned is that - from the DE/Anorgasmia folder posts - some/many feel that TriMix/PGE may promote DE/Anorgasmia in some/many men. But then it may be just aging nerves. No one seems to know for sure a causal relationship if the rate of DE in aging men is the same or different than TriMix/PGE users, or who may be susceptible. If true, the journey through increasing drug doses and then years of fussy injections to end up with DE may not be the best route. That said, I personally just can't see reaming out my dick. We all gotta make our beds. Good luck in your deliberations.
NOT an MD. 72, M52 yrs, CenTX US. Inj since 12/2016, a yr after pills stopped working. Caverject for a yr. 1/2018 Tri-Mix at 30 pap/2 phent/60 pge @0.3ml, now 0.5ml 80mcg/ml PGE1. DE/Anorgasmia setting in since 5/2019, worse now.
Re: Injection Vs Implant?
I hate injections. Just don't like sticking a needle in my dick. Looking forward to moving on to an implant in May '21 when I am eligible for Medicare and the implant will be "free."
I've tried everything -- pills, injections pumps -- and now I am at the final frontier.

Congrats to you on your decision for an implant. You will be glad you made this decision. I had mine in January 2020 no regrets at all. No more needles or meds. Best of luck to you!
