It does return with manual stimulation after going soft but usually becomes soft again when I try for intercourse again.

Part of me thinks maybe because my hand provides a form of stimulation that my partners vagina otherwise doesn’t (im not very experienced in bed as most of my life I was masturbating instead of having sex). But I also noticed during masturbation that I deflate real quick the moment I stop stimulating.

That is strange. Stimulation is key to keeping an erection for sure.
As a kid I masturbated a lot. My first sexual encounter was a quick wham bam thank you mam thing. Not good. It did take time to learn what to do in bed. What worked and what didn't. Bottom line, found out I liked sex more than masturbating and it was all about getting off for me. That didn't stop me from masturbating, but if I could have sex that's what I picked! Will admit I still masturbate even though I've been married 30+ years. Sometimes different is good too.

After experimenting with various dosages of trimix I found that the amount of simulation made a great difference. The trainer at the urologist did not stress a good massage on and all around the penis. I would inject and wait for a response before proceeding with sex. I have found that I have greatly reduced the dosage needed with good stimulation.
