Chance to measure semi-erect girth as measured 4th day post-op is 5.25 inch. This will most probably point to a small but definte girth gain. Penis is now a definite oval instead of the original rounded triangular shape so major axis wider than originally.

Nothing spectacular here, still waiting for OK to inflate. No loss and maybe 1/4 inch gain over best I could measure on fleeting prior erections. With full inflation should give me everything that the anatomy will support. A probable gain.

Radiodec - you're in the top 1% and should count yourself lucky. Most men come out of a RP with serious ED and, unless it is restored quickly, atrophy sets in. If you waited a few years after your prostatectomy and then now even have a gain from the IPP, you are very lucky. I think men anticpating getting an implant should not expect to get a gain. In fact, from my research, the vast %, like me, actually lose length. They may not be as forthcoming as someone who gains, however.

I have never been one to do things the "normal" way. Went directly to injections about 12 months after the RP. Tried like hell to get the attempts at erection that occured naturally to work but they were to weak. There was a lot of manual stimulation in the years that followed along with the injections. After a bit of a rough start the results are far above what I expected.

So I can't be the standard just a possible pointer to a best case scenario, with a few twists. Results are better than urologist projected. By the way girth expansion on all the AMS models is 50%, that is from 12mm starting to 18 mm maximum. On the LGX models maximum length expansion is only 18 percent. They are quite assymetrical length versus girth expansion. Using some mathematics and geometry gives a little better than 40 mm expansion in girth for the implant, this is about 1.6 inches of girth expansion. Length expansion doesn't get a pi multiplier so maximum expansion on a maximum length LGX implant (21cm) is about 1.6 inches maximum.

Anatomy is the limitting factor in all cases. VED measurements are not a reliable since they can induce an extra element of swelling. All these measurements are less than perfect as they are of a variable item "natural erection" that can be of time limited visibility. Therefore, take you urologist word for what to expect unless you have reason to doubt the accuracy of his judgement.
