Sorry to hear about your diagnosis Lost Sheep

Hope you get the best treatment and recover soon.

On your question...I do not have any idea about ADT but the general slump seems to be a combination of the following

The refractory period is the time immediately after orgasm and ejaculation, where a man is either physiologically unable to be erect, psychologically disinterested in sex, or both. It can last from minutes to days and varies person to person.

One theory is that various hormones released during and after orgasm — including oxytocin, prolactin and others — all play specific roles in limiting arousal and preventing erection during the refractory period.

Interestingly, some of these hormones, such as prolactin, are released in greater amounts after sexual intercourse than after masturbation.

But experts aren’t sure why the refractory period is a thing. Still, they are aware that how long this period lasts isn’t related to your testosterone production, performance during sex or potency in general. So, there’s that.

There can be a lot of variables involved in the equation of a refractory timetable, but three that we know for sure are:

Age. According to the International Society for Sexual Medicine, younger men may only need a few minutes to recover after sex, while for older guys, it may take as long as 12 to 24 hours.

Cardiovascular health. Erections are all about healthy blood flow. When you feel sexually aroused, your penis becomes erect as blood flows into your corpora cavernosa — the two areas of soft, sponge-like tissue that form the bulk of your penis.

The arousal factor. If you’re in the mood for sex, you might feel ready to go again in relatively little time. However, if you’re tired or just not feeling in the mood, you may take longer to feel ready for round two.

Captain 1117,

Don’t believe everything you read my brother. I’m 11 years older than you and I haven’t had any problems with cumming. I’ve did it 6 times in one day. Lol! It was with it was with 4 different women. I wanted to find out how many times I could do it in one day. It is easy for me to do it with different women but it has to be unprotected sex because of the sensation but you got to know that the women are safe. I had younger saying they wanted to be just like me when they get to my age. Lol! I had one friend that is in his sixties who didn’t have a implant but he was very active also. The important thing is to get away from the erection drugs and work on your endurance. Drink plenty of water lol and eat plenty of pineapples.

I was multi-orgasmic in my twenties. I could nut and keep going... now desire to, was admittedly low, unless I busted too fast and was embarrassed. Lost that once ED came into the picture, then it was a race to nut as fast as I could before I lost my erection and I'd just finish her with oral. Since implant I can, it's just like 20s all over again (actually even more than once without losing erection... no mental game to stay hard either), but the desire to keep going after nutting is low unless I'm just trying to show off  Sex with the implant is the least stress sex I've ever had in my life.

I have been on anti-depressants that cause lose of libido vs erectile dysfunction... and that's a different thing than the "slump" after nutting. You literally just have no desire to have sex. none. I have a high sex drive and it was *really* weird feeling mentally not having that desire. Imagine waking up and just not having any desire to eat or drink or something. none. just no f*'s given. same thing. Was still able to have sex if wife played with it, but I didn't care enough to seek it out.

I don't have an implant. But using Trimix I can keep an erection (now) far longer than my wife needs or wants.

Previously I suffered with both ED and PE (Premature Ejaculation). The thought of having sex for more than 5-10 minutes was only a dream.

Since using Trimix I have had to relearn how to have sex. Previously I had the constant fear of not getting an erection and/or coming within 1-2 minutes.

At first, when I had this magic ability to keep going (with Trimix) after I ejaculated my wife accused me of losing my sexual energy. Which put her in the mindset that the sex is over.
Actually, for me, it was the opposite effect. Once I ejaculated I felt empowered that I enjoy and could continue sex.

What I often do (now) is slow down and even though I ejaculate, I hold back. I then continue for as long as my wife wants. And once she comes I feel as though I have a powerful orgasm. I continue thrusting and now I have to ask if she has had enough.

Since using Trimix, I realized my wife is a one-and-done type of gal.

On the flip side of all of this, I've read quite a few reports that guys with implants struggle with Delayed Ejaculation (Anorgasmia). Which must be equally frustrating.
Plus the sad fact is some of us men have women that aren't that enthusiastic about sex in the first place
Age: 68. Struggled with ED/PE for years.
Used Viagra for 10+ years with mixed success.
In May 2022 started using Trimix with very good results.
Feb 2023 developed PD
2023 still in treatment for PD, and still using Trimix with very good results

No, sadly the need to check my prolactin levels never came up before researching my DE (Delayed Ejaculation) after I got my implant so I jumped into the Cabergoline without clinical testing and the doctor went along with my wish because he saw little chance of harm (there is a study that shows there is some potential for cognitive or neurological issues from long-term ultra-low prolactin levels).

I’m at work so didn’t read ALL of these replies. But I was also excited for this feature…turns out, it’s not all that great lol.

Once I orgasm, I can “feel” the blood leave my dick and the head isn’t swollen anymore and I almost feel limp in my mind yet my dick is still hard. It turns extremely sensitive and hurts as my body tries to suck my dick back in but the implant says no sir. LoL. Definitely could take a 2 min break and go back to it. And def can go a little longer after orgasm if she’s still cumming so she can enjoy it longer. But have I ever went back to back without stopping? No. Hormones kick in and I’m no longer interested, dick starts hurting, I’m tired, and it feels like I’m not even fucking with a dick anymore and just inflated rods and I get in my head (Years of ED must do this to your brain) thinking she can feel the difference (she can’t)…so then I think she knows I finished and she knows I’ve gotten slightly skinnier and less swollen so then I just lose all interest. Can you keep going? Sure. Do I feel like it? Not once yet….take a break and then sure back at it…

Hope that helps!

Damn I thought this was the main implant advantage that I am too looking forward lmao. But how long do you need to take a break to feel things better again? Now without an implant if I cum once there's no chance in the next 24 hours to get it up again or have the desire to do so. I hope thats not the case with implant
Venous like since I was 20 years old. Pills don't work too well. Thinking of implant in the future

Frenchie, you appear to have read the thread incorrectly.

Your car's tires are inflated and ready to roll regardless of whether there is gas in the tank - or even an engine in the bay.

Categorically: Your (implanted) penis will be as rigid after you orgasm as it was before. You may lose some tumescence/thickness of the shaft and glans but the inflatable tubes inside your corpus cavernosum will be just as rigid after sex as before. In fact, if you were to die during sex, your penis would still be erect. If you fell asleep erect, your penis will sill be erect when you awake. (I have done this many times.) If you were comatose, your partner could grab your pump and inflate you to full erection without you ever knowing.

The inflatable implant is independent of your state of arousal, mental, physiological or psychological.

How/when do you stop?

Postby Lost Sheep » Tue May 02, 2023 6:55 pm

Once you have orgasmed, (and lost interest in continuing coitus) but are still erect, how do you tell your partner that you want to stop?

That is, without saying, "I am tired of making love with you?", which is likely to be insulting to one's partner.
