I have to keep telling myself it'll get better and this is just the start. I think another issue is I have a lot of pubis swelling so it makes my penis look even shorter. Im nit concerned, just a shock the first time I saw it unwrapped. Icing now and no shrinkage so thats a plus lol
There was some instant relief though freeing the boys up. I just have a knot in my stomach I wish would go away, I assume thats from the pain meds, it started about 0300 this am.

It is a shock to see what a recently implanted penis looks like. Yes, it will get better.
Pain meds are notorious for causing constipation. Get some stool softener and take it while on any narcotic.
The first few days are the toughest! Chill and relax.

Hakky told me that I will like him on day one (nerve block) and hate his guts on day three when nerve block wears off. I felt zero difference in pain level so far. I was terrified prior to surgery of the pain and length of recovery but I think that I'm way ahead of the game.
66 years young. Mild Ed for three years, pills helped but not great and no way was I doing injections. Decided to go bionic before I got too damned old. Implanted by Dr. Hakky on 9-12-23 Coloplast Titan Touch 22cm + 1cm rte via Infrapubic.

You’re handling the 10 days to 2 weeks of the “what the fuck have I done?” Phase quite well.

A couple of observations from my recovery:

You will get more dick as the swelling goes away.

There will be some minor vestiges of remnant swelling for as much as a couple of months. The body has been assaulted, it will repair itself on its own time. Eat healthy and rest normally. I’d avoid wild living but I tend to avoid it anyhow.

You didn’t bruise nearly as bad as I did, or maybe you were better about ice.

A good attitude goes a long way towards conquering this. It sounds like you have one.

My biggest fear when I started cycling was that I wouldn’t be able to deflate. Hopefully they have or will coach you thru that because when you’re comfortable doing it, the recovery process becomes pretty damned routine.

A week after surgery I was about 2” shorter than before surgery. Tough to measure with the swelling. It pretty much all comes back. Patience is a virtue.

I wish you continued good luck.

That's a good quote from Dr. Hakky, made me laugh! It's pretty true though.
Good to hear you aren't feeling too much difference pain wise. You just might be one of the lucky ones who sail through with little discomfort.

Had my 3 day follow up and drain removal. Very swollen pubic area and scrotum due to hematoma. Think grapefruit…Just what everyone wants to hear! Oy.
On my way back home, 3hrs laid out in the back of the car, legs elevated and iced up to the max. Was told to stay like this for the next few days. Gonna be a long slog for me.
Looking it the bright side for yall, if Im having complications then Im that 2% which lowers your odds of being one with them! Thats what I call “Government Method Math and Statistics”!
In the end this better be worth it.

Bent Ben

Congratulations and welcome to the Bionic Brotherhood ... I am 2 weeks post-op from getting my implant (Cleveland Clinic) and the pain wasn't as bad as I was expecting after the nerve block wore off (about 48-72 hours) ... I went by the book on my inflammatory meds and didn't need oxy ... You will feel a little better every day and I was told to get on my feet periodically to walk to prevent any type of clotting .... Still use some Tylenol at night for some slight inflammation at night .... Can't wait to get to learn how to use it and putting my bad boy to work!

Update 5 days out

Testicular hematoma seems to have reduced in swelling. Pubis and incision area still very swollen.
Bruising of entire area still quite dark. Pain is pretty bad as I tried to transition to cycling Ibuprofen and Acetaminophen. Back on Percocet, Pain is 7-8 on scale from 1-10. I have a high pain tolerance but this is rendering me useless. I spent Friday thru today on the sofa with legs elevated and constant ice packs. I made sure to get up and move around every 1.5 hours.
I dont know how Ill go to work next week, luckily I can work from home this week. I literally cant lift my legs to walk lol. Some of you will remember Tim Conways character on the Carrol Burnett show that would shuffle really slow when he walked, thats what I move like lol
Hopefully this will get better and Ill get over the hump and start seeing daily improvement instead of daily decline.

My bionic brother Bent Ben. I’m sorry to hear about your pain and swelling. Rest, ice and elevation. Take your pain meds to knock the edge off. We are all cheering you on. You will get through this. Hopefully in another week it will be a distant memory. Best to you.

Oh Boy, sorry Bent Ben. That was one heck of a surgery on one very tender place on a man's body.
Hope the Percocet helps knock down the pain. That was the only drug that helped me get through those first few days. Remember to take a stool softener with the Percocet. I didn't and the result was not good.

Day 7
I keep hearing that days 3-4 are the worst, not for me. Day 7 is the most challenging so far. Im very swollen and bruised. While the swelling in my upper pubis area has reduced apx 30-40%, my scrotum is has stayed very swollen and bruised. I have an acute pain in my right testicle that is quite intense.
Today I have not left the bed other than to urinate and swap ice packs. I am cycling between icing and heating which does give some relief. I am trying to get up and move around a bit to keep things healthy but Im struggling today. I shuffle around very slowly, hunched over.
My wife has been good thru this but Im sure she has to like “grow the fuck up and deal with it”. She has given no indication of this attitude but I cant help but have some strong negative thoughts right now.

Im sorry if this frightens anyone looking at doing this surgery. Thats not my goal in reporting, its to let people know that this is major surgery and could potentially have complications, setbacks and varying levels of pain. It also allows me to vent and get my feelings off my chest. This is a good place for that, I dont really have anyone I can call and say “hey, had my pecker fixed and the walnuts cracked! Hurts like hell but ill be drilling the ol lady soon” Most people think I had hernia surgery…

Im not upset nor regretful that I had this done, I just pray the end justifies the means and the complications are just pain and inconvenience not serious.

Ben, you ought to be seeing light at the end of the tunnel and it’s not an oncoming train.

I guess I should have said “10 days to 2 weeks of ‘what the fuck have I done?’.”

Seriously. Deep breath. No two of us have identical experiences. But it will and does get better. My gut tells me you’re in the worst part of the storm right now.
