Flew to Houston Tuesday, surgery Wednesday morning, 4+ hour flight home on Friday morning. No pain, no discomfort (other than hiding a raging mummified boner in my sweatpants). No issues through TSA, no trouble walking or handling my carry on bag. Sat in the exit row just for a little extra space (I'm 6'5" tall and 280#), but I do that anyway.
Back in my home office chair on Monday morning ready to work. I alternated Advil and Tylenol for a couple of days that week as the nerve block wore off.
Are there any major benefits to using a local surgeon?

I chose a local surgeon who was a young up and comer. He had done a lot of surgeries and was clearly smart so I felt ok using him. He did a good job, but I had a particular anatomy (with my urethra) that is somewhat rare. Because he had never experienced this before and used the IP method rather than PS, I ended up getting floppy glans.
4 months later I went to Hakky who immediaetly was able to see how/why my oriognal doc made the mistake and he fixed it.

I got lucky. Dr Taj was 10 minutes from my house.
Im glad too because it made followup visits easy.
As ive told here before, I pulled my incision opened 3 weeks post op and im glad he was just down the road.
I texted him a picture and he said come in. I jumped in the car and was re stapled 30 minutes later.
Getting restapled... sucked, but at least it was convenient.

Coloplast titan 26 cm placed on 8/26/25 by Dr Taj
~8" before IPP but not "hard" enough for pvi.
Tried everything as things progressed:
Pills, pumps, prp, trt, gainswave, peptides, trimix, quadmix and a vibrating ring.
