Is it worth travelling to the US for surgery if you are in the UK?

The final frontier. Deciding when, if and how.

That's great. However what happens if you found a complication a month post op? You have to fly back to Houston.

I've had a lot of complications from my surgery and if it weren't for the NHS in UK and UCLH I would be fucked.

I was working with staff doctors at St. Lukes Hospital in Tokyo. In case of infection, they would provide me with antibiotics. They also assisted with everything needed. Also, I had Clavell's personal number to contact to ask for advice when needed. At one point I had difficulty with urination and they did help with that.
Venous Leakage (which I believe caused by my overuse of the Bathmate VED)

I don't think that's adequate post support in case of a complication. Infection isn't just about taking antibiotics. What if the implant needed to be removed and you were explanted for months, if there was some complication requiring advanced andrology care?

I had penile necrosis, paraphimosis, lympheodema.

I had to be treated by andrology specialists and could have been explanted.

If you're satisfied Tokyo has departments that can offer that level of expertise cost effectively then sure. But if so, then why not just get it in Tokyo?
