Incision had a spot about a 1/4” long that apparently didn’t heal up correctly and started bleeding when I would put my dick up during the day. Started watching it closely and eventually text my Dr Wednesday afternoon. He immediately ask for pics. Sent pics and he was concerned and called in another two weeks of antibiotics. Also told me to start just letting it hang or putting it down while wearing pants so as to not put tension on the incision. This contradicts earlier instructions but totally agree with reasoning behind it. Skin is not red around it and is NOT having any puss or Clear fluids coming out of it like it did with an infection in past. Also started a special antibiotic ointment that he called in specially for bacterial infections. Already this morning it’s looking much better so think it’s just a small spot that had scar tissue that didn’t want to grow back together. It’s very hard to stay positive and not get out of control worried when there’s something not just right after the year I’ve had! Looking good for now. Next 2-3 weeks will tell and then I can start trying to wear this thing out.
Hi Rider. Just to make you feel better. I also had a similar situation and it was not an infection. My scrotum opened and it turns out it was just a poor suture job in my opinion (often the doctor does not close the wound, it's one of the assistants that works with them). In any case, when that happened it was red as you mentioned but there was no pus. As i remember i kept putting povidone on it, steri strips as well to keep the wound closed as much as possible. It fully closed after a few weeks.
But just so you don't panic. An open wound doesn't always mean an infection. I wish you a speedy recovery!
Thanks for the encouragement. I had a talk with Dr just prior to this last surgery and told him I don’t want any other Drs hands on me but his! What you said about the open wound I agree totally. There’s a noticeable amount of scar tissue build up where the opening is and hoping it’s just scar tissue which don’t have good blood flow so doesn’t heal properly. Keeping it extremely clean and trying not to get sweaty. Tough with the endless 100 degree days lately! Just hanging out around the house gets old after months and months this year.
