Beachbum - a question..
Is Intercourse your and your wife's ONLY definition of sex? What about oral, manual, and self, stimulation?
Don't forget that the implant can make every one of those very enjoyable!

Re: Get over it
palace01: No we used to do all. But the last time we tried I failed miserably and that was the end of our sex life. I think it hurt her more than she would say. And we all knows what it does to the guy. Now she says she really isn't interested in it any more, and that my be so. And then if I get fixed and she knows it wont fail, then maybe give it another try. If not then no different than now. But I'm still going to get it fixed and I think the implant is the way to go. My Dr. thinks so too. It is the most practicable way to go. Wont have to carry around the needles and wont have to keep any thing cold when traveling. And if its not used but once in a while or just when ever I feel like pumping it up just to have a woody, then no loss of meds. The other thing the Dr said is that the injections don't always work for some. Not only is that a big loss of money but its the last thing I would need, Finally get the wife to have sex again and nothing happens!

Re: Get over it
Pills and Injections did nothing for me. Vacuum tube gave me usable erections but didn't last for more than a few minutes (and the rings hurt..).
Especially based on your earlier comments about personal stress, I think your option to have the implant is a no-brainer. The fact that not only will you NOT fail, but also that you can go on and on, will give you the total enjoyment & confidence, and I strongly suspect will cause your wife to show plenty of inquisitive interest...
Like you I have Medicare and Gap Insurance, so whole thing cost me NOTHING, and no wait at all for approval.
To be sure of good job first time, I suggest maybe you ask Dr for references of people he has implanted, and see if any of them will discuss it with you(assuming a search for him on this website doesn't show anything).
GOOD LUCK and Get it Done !

Re: Get over it
Well as of now I am. Will probably start the process tomorrow. Calling the Dr. office and having them start to get the insurance approved, Medicare and Gap, shouldn't be a problem, and they need to call my cardiologist and get his OK to come off the blood thinner for a few days. That too shouldn't be a problem either. The best thing is that the Dr's. outpatient clinic where he does it is about 10-15 miles from home. I feel good with him because of how he answered my questions, some before I even asked. He has done a couple of procedures on me and both were very good. Both times they gave my med for pain but there was none. So I take that as being pretty good at what he does. My current family Dr. says him and the clinic group are very good. And my former family Dr, said hes the one that all the male Dr's. in their practice goes to. Every thing seems to be coming together for this. The only thing that i think would make it better would be if my wife was a little more for it. As it is she is barely OK with it. Its "Do what ever you need to do" and I think I really need to do this, for myself. With any luck I should know some thing next week.
