You should get a hard, long lasting erection once you find the magic dosage. I would try .3 ml (30 units) the next time.

Hard, long lasting erection it is then. Thanks, DT, I really appreciate hearing that. It eases my mind a lot.

Hard times ahead, right?

Another illustration that clarifies a little better where they are getting the "90 degree" thing

Still a bit odd to me. I was thinking 90 degrees from top of penis. Instead it is 90 degrees based on some imaginary line?

Ok no matter, at least I have it figured out. (I think)

Thunder,

Instructions from my uro (and pharmacist) were to inject at "10:00" and "2:00" holding the needle at a 90 degree angle. If you look at your drawing, that's exactly what is shown. The syringe is at 2:00 and the needle is at a 90 degree angle to the surface of the skin. Does that make sense?

No, don't lower your expectations. Keep experimenting wth the dosage and the technique (massage, etc.) until you get the boner you want.

Ah I see! Greg, makes perfect sense. Thanks for the explanation.

That means I've been injecting at 3 o'clock then! Straight in.

So I've got that all worked out. Last injection was as shown in the illustration. Making some progress. :D

I did talk to the PA late this afternoon. He doesn't want me to go to .3mL yet. He says do .25mL next injection and see where it gets me. Then try .275ml if needed. And so on.

I also told him I would like to do a trial of the tri-mix, given all the great things you guys have been saying about it. He said sure.

The plan is for me to get the bi-mix dosage sorted out over the next two weeks and then come in and talk face to face.

It sounds like you're doing everything right. No less important, it sounds like the urology practice which is treating your ED is treating you very well. I have been blessed with the same kind of medical care. Apparently that's not the case all over.

It is amazing, all of our doctors are wonderful. I've only had one bad doctor, the guy who initially treated me for my low-test. That ended up with me finding a uro to help me with that. And he is a great guy, smart guy, witty guy who knows his stuff. He really listens to what I say. I am so lucky to have him.

Thanks for the vote of confidence and kind words!

Well a bit of an update. I've had a couple of injections at .25, I decided to experiment with that a little more. I would say they were OK, not great. Still not getting that hard-on that I had when I had the viagra. I will try bumping it up tomorrow or the next day to .275. Unfortunately my wife has been out of commission for a while with a bladder infection that turned into a yeast infection, so these have all been solo flights. So it could be I just don't have the right inspiration for the super hard-on.

I do have an appointment middle of next week with Andrew to get the Tri-Mix trial going. Something a little weird, every time I talk tri-mix, he talks about how it adds a PDE-5 inhibitor, some of which are expensive. I keep saying I thought alprostadil is called a PDE-1 inhibitor. He said oh yes it is, but there are several other PDE-5 inhibitors that can be used in the formula. And then I say everybody at FRANKTALK is having great results with alprostadil.

So sounds like I may really really really have to insist on the alprostadil.

Failed injection tonight. .275, left side. Could feel bi-mix going into left CC, but didn't feel right some how.

I got nothing.

Penis did not chub up. Got my regular unreliable semi. Was not a solo flight, was in bed with my wife. Did have a decent hard on at first, but if flagged. That is my normal hard-on.

We had fun anyway. Afterwards I felt discouraged and depressed. The failed injection put me back in that place of "What if this is not going to work for me". My fully erect penis has given me so much joy and pleasure in my life. What if that has been taken away from me forever?

When I remind myself that I have had some pretty successful injections, I then think back to how the last one was not that great and this one did nothing. So I think "maybe this is just like the Viagra only accelerated. Worked great at first, but then stopped working."

I realize I'm being completely irrational. I hope after getting a good night's sleep I can get a better perspective.

As discouraged as I am feeling right now, I am not about to give up.
