When someone gives you clearly incorrect and prejudicial information likely intended to sway your choices it is probably prudent to examine thier motives.
Do you have a clue as to her attitude towards sex in general? To aid in our speculations, perhaps you might share information about HER. Age? Married? Sexual orientation?
I am intensely curious how a (supposed) professional counsellor would say the things you have reported.

A penis erected by implant is a LOT CLOSER to the feeling of a natural erection (the "real thing") than a penis, flaccid from E.D. is.

Well, okay, I suspect on some level, of course they won’t feel exactly the same but having done as much research as I have, I feel confident in saying a huge % of men say that after a point, it feels pretty much the same, the only difference being the way an erection is achieved.
I felt like her tone was one of someone who thinks of the implant negatively and that it has negative outcomes. Maybe she just didn’t agree with someone my age and aetiology getting one.
Regardless, there comes a point in this journey where you’re just ready…
So, do you agree or disagree with the statement?

Isn't it a shame that her contact info isn't available so that some men with real world experience can politely bring her out of the dark ages.

Hey there.
I think you got a good discussion going on here, and many have said many wise words.
Maybe someone even said what I am about to say, I could have missed it when I skimmed through the thread.
"Does it feel like a real erection?"
OK. That is the question.
The answer?
Well the point is that the answer DOESN'T F*****G MATTER.
Because if you had the real thing, if you could get an erection that was the real thing, then why would you consider an implant?
Of course, if you can get a real erection - don't get an implant.
But assuming you cannot get a real erection, then are you going to never have sex again because the best option available doesn't feel 100% like the real thing?
Throw the question back to her.
What treatment are you going to get then that will give you the real thing?
Perhaps she knows of some magic treatment that nobody else knows of.
But my guess is she doesn't.
Your options, if your dick is crap - i.e. you cannot have the real thing - are the same as for everyone else.
Keep failing with your natural crap dick.
Pills. And yes, use them if they work. Because they are definitely more close to the real thing.
Vacuum pumps. Probably also closer to the real thing in terms of erection feeling, but F far from the real thing in terms of getting the erection. Plus a vacuum pump doesn't look too cool when you bring it to the night club in case you get lucky.
Injections. Probably closer to the real thing as well, but again, those needles aren't very sexy and practical either. And btw, they don't look too cool at the nightclub in your jeans either.
And then there is the implant.
Of course it does not feel like the real thing. If the meaning of that statement is that nobody will ever feel any difference between an implant erection and a natural erection. But it feels damn close to a real erection.
And - more importantly than how close to the real erection it feels like - it lets you have an erection.
An impotent bastard can't have an erection. Can't have the real thing.
So what the F is she talking about?
This question is something I have often noticed over the years on this site.
People always judge the implant to the benchmark of a working, natural dick. Why? If you have a natural great working dick, then why considering an implant?
If you consider an implant, then you don't have a working natural dick.
So why base the implant or not decision on whether it is as good as a natural erection when you can't get one?
Judge the implant's pros and cons versus what you currently have.
And against other treatment options.
In my opinion, pills, if they work consistently and reliably are probably preferable.
My main problem with pills was these two issues. On those occasions they had great effect - that was amazing. Yes, better than the implant.
But a huge part of the ED shit is the worrying, the anxiety every bloody time it is time to have sex.
Will my crap dick get hard? Will it stay hard?
I never knew with the pills.
With the implant, I just walk into every situation with 100% confidence. I will ALWAYS be able to fuck for hours when needed/wanted.
That feeling is priceless.
So if/when pills don't work good and reliably enough, the implant is a heck of a good treatment.
This site is full of guys making it look like they will not get implanted if the pump can be felt.
If reaching orgasm will be a bit harder.
If they cannot pump with one hand.
If their flaccids get larger and firmer than a natural dick.
Etc, etc.
Well, again, keep you natural dick then if it is that great.
If it isn't, accept that an implant will come with its issues, but that it is a bloody great option to treat ED.
The analogy has been made above, but deserves to be made again.
My vision is poor.
So I can either forget reading, get glasses or contacts. Will the glasses feel like the real thing? No. So what???? What's the option?
My hearing is poor.
So I can either forget talking to people, or I can get a hearing aid.
Will it be like the real thing? No. But so what???
My teeth fall out.
OK, I can either eat soup for the rest of my life and never smile again, or I can get dental implants.
Will they feel exactly like the real thing? No. Again, so what the F?????
Get the implant if you need it.
If you can get the real thing, good for you, forget the implant.
The implant will not be 100% like the real thing. Has to be pumped up, doesn't get erect by a BJ, doesn't restore lost ability for glans engorgement, doesn't go down by itself after orgasm, bigger flaccid than the real thing, and feeling when fucking is not 100% like the real thing.
But when it comes to the feeling, it is damn close and very, very good.
Plus, whether you like it or not, our memories fade. I had my implant six years ago. I am not even sure I can remember exactly how big or small the difference in feeling is to what I had before. All I know is that I am having the best sex of my life right now, and it feels great.
Good luck.

Attaboy marrix. I love the feeling of mine hard or soft, at 5 mo of cycling I’ve gained the bulk back and just playing w my self way too much.
This implant has saved my mental life after twenty years of struggle to get the juggling right just to get limp bent chubby stuffed in a wet hole- thats gone for me for good! Part of my brain just wants reassurance that it’s still there and working, the better parts just wats to touch and party. It feels great- no qualifying

Merrix & I are pretty much in agreement.
I'd really like to hear her opinion on what is CLOSER to feeling like a real erection than an implant. I, for one, would find that a quite interesting story.

I guess a female doctor doesn't know the depression a man feels when his dick doesn't work. No, an implant doesn't feel like a real erection, but it works better. No matter what your style of fun is, a working dick beats anything.
