I kind of like the verb, "deploy". Conjures up thoughts of a military mission with appropriate objectives, tactics, etc. But "pressurize" is a VERY good choice and I wish I had thought of it.

Somehow I don't think "Babe, it's time to deploy the prosthesis" would go over too well with my sweetie romantically

Probably another reason for "inflate" since it's kinda innocent and basic sounding to the participant of it's joys and wonders.

I am with you on the choice of words. I NEVER thought "deploy" would go over very well with a sexual partner and use it only when talking or thinking in the abstract. Very few women would take very well to being thought of as a mission objective!
