Im not sure how giving an opinion on what we would do in a sexless marriage is considered cruel. We are all just people living life and for me, if both parties are healthy and the wife wont make love, or even try to match your sexual desire then there is a problem.

Everyone is different, for me being married comes with responsibility. I goto work and my wife is a stay at home mom. If i didnt work, if i didnt protect the family, stay faithful, be a good dad most everyone here would condemn my actions, but why is it if a man says i want to make love to my wife and she refuses and rejects you thats ok.

Im here to say thats unacceptable and completely valid to have a conversation with your spouse. And if she says im just not interested, then thats a done deal for me, i would get a divorce the day after my kids left the house. A sexless marriage is cruel and one of the most difficult things a man can face.

All of my closest friends have battled this issue and all of the ones that left were much happier. Its a very personal thing, some guys need a live in partner and companionship, for me its the intimacy i get from sex makes it all worth it.

I mean, even OP himself says he’s just finding his needs elsewhere because his wife isn’t providing it. Like if my wife wouldn’t want sex anymore, then I’m either going to find it elsewhere or have to find a new partner. And ideally I’d want a wife who also wants sex so it can be consistent, and there’s plenty of women out there in who enjoy sex as much as men. It takes communication, and if from that communication it’s determined that she doesn’t want sex any longer, then I’m no longer the right partner for her.

Sex in a relationship is so much more than just the physical act, it shows a true desire emotionally for each other, and it spreads positively into every area of life besides just the bedroom.

This could also go both ways. What is a wife to do when her man can't perform anymore? Does she search for other avenues? Can't tell you how many times that went through my head when ED was at it's worst and before my implant.
In the 35+ years we've been married sex has been up and down. Yes, at first we fucked like rabbits, then the medical issues started and sex went on the back burner for a while. Then her sexual drive went out the door for a bit. Then my ED about did us in. Now with my implant we are happy to have great encounters, although not as often. But bottom line is the emotional closeness it gives us. That is the real reason I got implanted, for that intimacy.

Essentially everyone cheats in some way. Some people realize that and do it also. Why not?

Maybe worth pondering. But on the one hand, some men are not constitutionally capable of pulling it off. I, for one, am just not that sly. On the other hand, keeping secrets in a relationship drains energy from the relationship.

On the other, other hand, an open relationship wherein both partners cheat can work for some.

On the other foot, women seem to have an edge in being able to cheat, eh?
