Please keep us posted as you learn more about fillers. I know Dr. Eid only does them for glans enlargement so I’m assuming there is a downside. I know Dr. Perito does them and Dr. Hakky also. However, I haven’t heard too much about them on this forum….

The filler injections for girth enhancement are more of a plastic surgeon's service than a urologist. I assume Dr Eid and the others you mention only do glans injections in order to alleviate complaints from implant patients of the glans not engorging. Those doctors, especially Dr Eid, are penile implant specialists above all else.

Theres an excellent plastic surgeon in NYC named Dr Shafer who does the filler injections for girth enhancement. One downside is that they're very, very expensive in the US. At Dr Shafer's clinic, he has a package for 10cc of filler for $9,500. This will probably get you less than 1/2" of girth. You can then pay another $9,500 to do another round at a later date to add more girth. The same 10cc that costs $9,500 in the US can be had for £1,890 at a popular clinic in London.

The other downside is that they are relatively short-lived. You get a year or maybe 2 with that girth gain before the filler has fully dissolved and the gains are gone. Phalloboards.info is the main online forum I've found for discussing these fillers, though of course most men there don't have implants. Hope that brain dump is helpful.

Hey Wolfpacker,

Can you tell me what Dr Eid (rather than your own measurement) measured your pre-op length as? I am trying to work out what pre-op size warrants a 24cm implant.

Cheers!

Yeah man, he injected me with alprostadil the day before surgery for the measurement, and measured me at 6.5". After 4 weeks, I'm now at 7.25" when fully aroused and with engorged glans. There is still a lot of pain when fully pumped so I'm sure it will grow more as time goes on.

Interesting. I was always 6.5 but put on some weight and it reduced me to 6. I know it's the weight cos after losing 14 pounds I am now at 6.25. Im gonna lose another 14 to bring it back to 6.5. This is all from skin pressed rather than bone pressed if you get me. I am not sure if any of this makes a difference to Eid's measurements but want to make sure its doesnt muddy the waters. And sure losing fat is always a good thing!

You are 7.25 after being 6.5? Are you thinking the implant has increased your size then?

The injection he gave me before measuring produced a pretty weak erection. Though he measured 6.5" from that wimpy erection, I had always measured more like 7.5" to 7.75" when on my own. Of course I had ED and that erection faded away quickly, but that was the max length I had measured personally. So no the implant hasn't increased my length, but it has gotten me closer to my original length than what Dr Eid measured in his office.

Yeah, when I had my ultrasound the injection gave me a very weak injection too. No measurement was taken as we were just looking for VL at the time, but I was thinking it was not gonna return the same results as my fully engorged best (although fleeting) viagra erection. Will be interesting to see what it measures as.

I have never measured above 6.5 myself unless I push the ruler to my bone, then its hitting 7 inches. I really want the 24cm implant if it is thicker than the 22cm (although I am not sure if this is the case as I can't find anything official about it). Thinking I am boarderline given my measurements and could end up with 22cm. We will have to see!

One nice thing about Dr Eid is that he will actually cut off some of the hard, uninflatable end of the implant (the end that goes into your body) in order to use a larger size. For example, for me he measured 23cm in one side of my shaft and 25cm in the other during surgery. Most surgeons would probably use 22cm cylinders with +1cm and +3cm rear tip extenders, which are hard and thin and do not inflate. Dr Eid instead used 24cm cylinders with +1 on one side and cut 1cm off the end of the other cylinder. I asked him if he knows of any other surgeon who cuts the cylinders like this but he didn't know of any others.

Yes, very true. Any other surgeon and I was def be 22cm (maybe even 20cm!) plus an RTE to push it up if needed. But based on his "chopped" approach I am thinking I could MAYBE be 23cm so he could go the 24-1 setup like you said.

From my understanding the actual size of the implant is truly based on the measurement of your Corpus. The preopp injection is to just get an approximate idea. I measured between 17-18cm pre op with injection. That could of easily warranted up to a 26cm. But when Eid got into the surgery he noticed one of my Corpus had scar tissue, which shortened the canal. So on that shortened side he only used a 24. And other side he used 24 with RTE's. Post op I measured 17cm... but with enforcement eid said I will mostly hit 18 again. So I would say your weight will not affect the size cylinder. It's the internal measurement that gives the final say. This is why some guys suggest using a VED prior to surgery to expand the inner tissues.(although it's not proven if that helps)

Ok Ok. From reading on here this was how I understood how he operates:

Step 1. Pre-op length taken
Step 2. During surgery he chooses an implant size
Step 3. During surgery he then pumps you up and measures to make sure the pre-op length holds

So I was thinking that that pre-op size better be correct!

But I get it now that at Step 2 when choosing the cylinders he is actually taking another internal - more important - measurement that really determines which cylinder to use. If the cylinder size that he chooses is correct, it should inflate your dick to the pre-op size (a size that is variable and based on your current body fat).

I mean, based on my thinking, if you lost a load of weight after your operation you would fuck up your implant! Lol.

I would say if someone was quite overweight, he would take the pre-op measurement, and then simply factor in the pubic fat to determine his guesstimate.

Thanks!

P.S. I asked this question here also https://www.franktalk.org/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=17458#p158780 so as not to detail the OPs journal, so i'll paste the gist of my response there too.
