The imperfect implant

It would be like researching on how most americans manager their money, then making a decision on that. Remember, only a few surgeons do a vast majority of the actual surgeries.
No... only a majority on this forum that are talking about it...
Re: The imperfect implant
Posts on my thread Revision 2017 in the last few days evidence there is hope for some of you who have had crappy implant results. Maybe you will never be right again but surely it is possible to improve upon disasters. Find a doctor that gives a damn. Cheers all.

Re: The imperfect implant
Amen, Ali...!!!
54 years old, happily married for 30 years to a beautiful & outstanding lady. Onset ED at 49. Finally fixed on 11/08/2017 by the master Dr. Eid with a Titan XL 26, no RTEs! Previously had 3 AMS implants (LGX & CX), all botched.
Re: The imperfect implant
My last post here was 3 months after the Titan implant. I am now 18 months, 6 days.
I have to say this thing has softened up a lot. No more dog ears. Hangs nice at full deflate but at 'super deflate' it can be made to look like a grooved misshapen dick but there is no reason at all to deflate it that flat other than to see if can be deflated to cylinders completely flat.
I still love the smaller pump that is well shaped to not interfere with it's partners. cylinder comfort level improved a lot over time. Pump has always been a sweetheart comfort wise.
Cheers.

So you are saying that the Titan pump is noticeably smaller than the LGX? I am not sure I noticed that when looking at both implants in Dr. Eid's office although I do remember a square structure on the LGX pump that looked like a strange design for something going in a guys scrotum.
Prostatectomy 2004-Bimix caused Peyronies-Viagra had little effect. Active sex life with wife of 50 yrs- been dependent on a VED for 10 yrs. 22cm Titan w/Dr. Eid Aug 7th See my Implant Journal -> http://www.peyroniesforum.net/index.php/board,56.0.html
Re: The imperfect implant
Yes, its smaller. I remember that I saw PDF patent with exact sizes. Titan ( otr / touch) pump is a bit smaller than Ams MS pump. Titan Genesis is the smallest, since it has no deflate button but It is an small bar
Titan 24cm . December 2015

Everyone of we implantees seeks the perfect implant. By perfect most of us in the back of our minds want what we had when we were 16. Natural and hard.
The fact is implants make us hard but they are not perfect. They have tubing. They have reservoirs. They have hard tips on each end. Some have hard extensions. Many have glitchy pumps that sometimes pump, sometimes not, sometime deflate, sometimes not. Some leak, some wear out prematurely. Some leave us with a skinnier or shorter erection or both. Many leave use with a soft glans and areas of numbness. Some have pumps with corners that jut out,. pumps that war with the testicle beside it, pumps that shoot like an arrow into the netherlands, and tiny little buttons you cannot find without a search party. Some are smooth as silk and some have puckers and crinkles in them that stab the crap out of you ( though they get better or you get used to them over time, I don't know which).
I say all this for one reason. Y'all, every one of you, need to have reasonable expectations. No more vacuum pumps. Great. No more needles, great. No more ( hopefully) expensive pills, suppositories or gels ( hopefully). No more erection rings that hurt like a bitch so you stop early or hurry to get done to get that bitch off before it pinches your dick off. With all this they are not perfect. Choose your doc, choose your model, let the man with the meter stick measure to fit and hope for the best. Take your time to heal, take your time to get used to it, learn how to run this damned contraption and be happy if you can. With patience and an open mind most can be happy. Surely your wife will be happy as your old dick, just like a cucumber, had a limited shelf life. Be good to your doctor if he is good to you and makes the effort. These things have limits and each model has its drawbacks so make sure you are clear whether your perceived issues are really issues are just faults of the design of the product. Have an open mind. Your doctors are not magicians. A good doctor does the best he can with what he has to work with and many of us do not give him much there, the basis for our E.D. to start with. If your fellow brothers have issues, encourage them and advise them honestly with your own experience to smooth the way for them. It is amazing how many friends you can make with a little sound advice and a little cheer when all seems sucky. Be well, be hard, and enjoy. Cheers and the best to everyone.
I agree with the words you wrote, but want to add some you didn’t. You mentioned all the glitches and things that can happen to our implants, but I think it is important to spell out none of us would have chosen to get the implant if our original equipment didn’t have its own glitches. I was constantly frustrated with all of its imperfections. I lost size from ED and Prostatectomy surgery. I have only had my implant for close to a year, but so far no issues I am unhappy with. I have gained back all the size that was robbed from me before the implant and I can get as hard as I want for as long as I want. It was 30 years ago when I was able to say that.
I agree it’s important to have realistic expectations, but also to have hope that it can all work. There is a phrase, “No risk, no reward.” That definitely applies here.

Re: The imperfect implant
Ali/ all...thank you! As a Type A, detail-driven perfectionist, I have had my come upance at the hands of my uro surgeon who fired me over too many questions and contacting Coloplast's local rep with product related q's. From now on, I will go with the flow, trust my new doc and be thankful for the reminder that I can't fix me. I need the implant and will strive to be the best patient I can be to get the best result for me and my very supportive wife of 48+ years. Will update my profile soonest! Thanks to ALL your public and private messages of encouragement!

Strange maybe but, when feeling around for things it sure is easier than it would be if everything was round.
